APM is delighted to have partnered with Business News to present the RISE Western Australian Business of the Year Award. Congratulations to all the category winners – a truly exceptional line-up. And congratulations to the WA Business of the Year Award Winner, UON - so very well deserved!
We all know that this year has been an extraordinary one. It is so reassuring that our state’s businesses have stepped up to the mark by responding and evolving to the changing and challenging landscape.
Judging this year’s entries was a bit of pleasure and a bit of pain.
The pleasure came from seeing just how innovative, responsive and responsible the businesses are. Whether they be large or small, start-up or established, for profit or for purpose, the quality of the entries was simply outstanding.
The pain point was in having to choose a winner amongst equals.
At APM, we’re all about enabling better lives for the tens of thousands Western Australians we support each year. And we’re all about diversity and inclusion in the workforce and in community.
Today, on International Day of People with Disability, it is a timely reminder that diversity comes in many ways and that inclusivity is more than just a target or a KPI – it’s about genuine, meaningful and sincere acceptance, involvement and respect.
In selecting the WA Business of the Year, we considered all the criteria carefully. And we looked at which business was truly deserving of being awarded the first amongst equals: for business performance, for community contribution, for workplace inclusion and engagement.
It was a real honour to be part of the the RISE WA Business of the Year Awards in 2020.
