But here's the deal: you won't dodge every problem, and if that's your sole aim, you're essentially setting yourself up for frustration and disappointment.

Here’s the beauty of it all – resilience is already part of who you are.

The only downer is that you might be blocking it.

But hey, look at the bright side: what's blocked can always be unblocked, right?

But before we get to that, it’s essential to understand that resilience isn't just about bouncing back.

It's about:

That’s your secret recipe for success in life's ever-changing menu.

Overcoming Self-Doubt: The "What If" Scenario

If only you could spot that elusive stop sign, right?

But what does it even look like, you wonder?

It takes the form of a "what-if" scenario.

You're familiar with that persistent voice in your mind, which I affectionately call: "Mr. Self-Doubt."

Yes, that very voice – the ultimate joykiller!

It leads you down a path of imagining why things won't succeed, leaving you overwhelmed or, at times, even in a panic, causing you to doubt your own capabilities.

To the extent that, even before attempting anything, you're plagued by a sense of failure.

All the while, you're in a constant battle with the encouraging voice in your head that I fondly call: "Miss Resilience."


She plays the role of a confidence booster but tends to stay in the shadows.

So, how can you pivot and quiet that joykiller?


Here’s where I start:

  • Instead of imagining all the reasons why I could fail, I choose to immerse myself in the possibilities of success.
  • I turn my desires into obsessions, constantly picturing the "what if" scenarios of achieving my goals.
  • I let my mind wander back through my past experiences, tracing the path of my achievements.
  • I open my journal and write down why this is MY moment to shine.
  • I list my qualities, reminding myself of the unique strengths that define me.
  • I recall moments that once seemed unattainable but are now shining stars in my journey. These moments prove that my self-doubt is nothing but a deceptive whisper and a buzzkill.

Miku's childhood was marked by unimaginable physical and emotional abuse.
