Hey there,
Feeling stuck in your career can be tough, but you've already taken the first step by reaching out if you are reading this article :) Here are five pointers to help boost your confidence:
1.Acknowledge Your Achievements: Take a moment to reflect on your journey so far. You've gained valuable experience in the past 2-3 years or whatever number of experience you have in the industry, and that's something to be proud of. Celebrate your small victories. Recognize your accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem. Even the smallest task you have actioned can be the most critical one in the larger scheme of things. Imagine leaving a vulnerable port opened , looks like very small but can be catastrophic or leaving privilege account with aging passwords.
2. Identify Your Strengths: Everyone has unique strengths and talents. What are you good at? Whether it's problem-solving, communication, or technical skills, acknowledging your strengths can give you a confidence boost and help you focus on what you excel at. It can be anything - good communicator , excellent coder, skillful analyst or a prolific consulting attitude.
3. Set Clear Goals: Feeling stuck often stems from not knowing where you're headed. Take some time to set clear, achievable goals for yourself. Do not try to eat the whole elephant in one go , eat it bite by bite . Break your goals down into smaller tasks, and work towards them one step at a time. Having a direction to move towards can reignite your motivation. Learning new skills everyday for 20 mins sums up to 10 hours a month and that is massive achievement.

4. Seek Support Outside of Work: It's disappointing when you don't get the support you need from your managers or leads, but remember that there are other sources of support available. No one can tell you what you can do or you can not achieve. The only person who can set limits on your capabilities. In this age where there is ample number of platforms to connect any one anywhere on the earth, don't feel shy to reach out to them for guidance or mentorship. Talk to friends, family, or mentors who can offer encouragement and advice. Sometimes, an outside perspective can provide valuable insights.
5. Stay Positive and Keep Learning: Finally, maintain a positive attitude and stay open to learning new things. Every setback is an opportunity for growth. Keep updating your skills, exploring new opportunities, and staying optimistic about what the future holds. Remember, it's okay to feel stuck sometimes, but don't let it hold you back. You have the potential to achieve great things, and with the right mindset and support, you can overcome any challenges that come your way. Keep pushing forward, and don't be afraid to reach out for help when you need it. You've got this!
Happy to connect if you are feeling low or need any guidance and need someone to listen to you.
