The Ripple.
There's something about seeing creativity in action that lights a spark. Like watching a live performance of your favorite song – you can't help but feel moved, maybe even inspired to create something yourself. I recently sat in a room with a team of incredibly talented creative professionals, who bravely signed up to share film projects of all shapes and sizes, riddled with every human emotion. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I can't wait to see the result of that inspiring experience and what it spurs folks on to create.
Creativity Breeds Creativity
It's fascinating, this domino effect of inspiration. One person's creative courage becomes the nudge someone else needed. I've been there, soaking in the brilliance of peers, feeling that mix of awe, and, let's be honest, a tiny bit of healthy envy – the kind that makes you think, "What's stopping me from diving into my own pool of creativity?"
The Unlikely Muse
We never know where our next inspiration might come from and then ultimately become our muse. A graphic designer shares a new concept, a writer pens a powerful piece, someone embarks on a passion project, or life strikes and the only thing you can do with the weight of it, is create. These stories, these snippets of creativity, are like open invitations to explore our own potential. It's as if these moments whisper (or scream), "Your turn."
Breaking the Echo Chamber
In a world where it's easy to get lost in the echo chamber of our own thoughts, witnessing the creativity of others is a breath of fresh air. It challenges us to think differently, to break our routines. There's this one quote that sticks with me, "Creativity is contagious, pass it on" (thanks, Einstein!). And it's true. Every share, every post, has the potential to spark something new in someone else.

The Creative Call to Action
So, let's say this happens to us along the way, where do we go with all this creative inspiration? Could be that it's just a simple reminder to not just be spectators of creativity but active participants. Or maybe it's time we snuck out of our quiet corners and just start something. Whatever the timeline might be for you, I have a humble request... PLEASE showcase your work, share your processes, your challenges, and your moments of inspiration that lead you it all. It's in these shared experiences that creativity flourishes, growing beyond the confines of our individual minds.
Your Creative Echo
I'm curious, what's the last thing you saw that inspired you to create? How did it change the way you approach your work or passion projects? I'd love to hear about it. Let's keep the conversation going, and who knows? Your story, your song, your film, your photo, your art, your... might just be the nudge someone else needs. Any creative endeavor I have been proud of making in my life has been because someone else released their creativity into the wild and it just hit different for me.
Here's to creating ripples of inspiration.
Cheers.

1 年Thank you Cody for your insights on creativity. My favorite quote is "One person's creative courage becomes the nudge someone else needed." It's wild to think courage is needed to create, an innate human ability, but its true. Creating isn't always easy. Seeing the creative expression of another can really cause a ripple effect.

1 年Love the idea of the ripple Cody Joens. It can be so easy to see someone creating something inspiring and think that you could never do something like that... or you can pause and realize the energy you are feeling might just be saying... your turn.
