R.I.P. Las Vegas
R.I.P. Las Vegas
It matters not where I was shot,
In my body, head, or brain.
The bullets did their damage
And I will not breath again.
I will lie here with the rest of us,
Shot for reasons we know not why.
I came to watch a concert,
And certainly not to die.
Yet another madman with a gun,
And reasons known but to himself.
My cold corpse another notch
Lying on a coroner’s shelf.
My parents, friends and kids
And most of all my wife
Left to wonder why I was picked
To have to end my life?
They can wrap me in a loyal flag
And lower me to my grave
For what I hope you’ll maybe ask?
The Second Amendment just to save?

Half a world away from Las Vegas, but there in spirit.
