RIP Harry

Le 19 Février 2013, l'adjudant Harold (Harry) Vormezeele du Groupe de Commandos Parachutistes (GCP) du 2eme Régiment Etranger de Parachutistes (2° REP) de Calvi, tombait au combat, mortellement touché au cours d’un accrochage avec des groupes armé terroristes djihadiste.

A une cinquantaine de kilomètres au sud de Tessalit, son équipe est prise à parti par des groupes terroristes. Au cours de ces combats d’une grande violence, il est mortellement blessé.

RIP Harry

On February 19, 2013, Warrant Officer Harold (Harry) Vormezeele of the Parachute Commando Group (GCP) of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2° REP) based in Calvi (Corsica) fell in combat, fatally wounded during a clash with an armed jihadist terrorist group.

About fifty kilometres south of Tessalit, his team was engaged in a contact with a group of armed terrorist. During the fierce firefight which followed, he was fatally wounded and succumbed to his injuries.
