Ringway Milton Keynes wins Green Apple Award
The ‘Workplace in Bloom in Milton Keynes Depot’ entry competed against more than 500 other nominations in the International #GreenAppleAwards, and Suzanne Moss , Business Manager who led on the project and submitted the entry, will be presented with a trophy and certificate at a prestigious presentation ceremony in the Houses of Parliament, London, on November 20th, joined by Ian Steele who supported the project.
The Green Apple Awards are run by The Green Organisation - an international, independent, non-profit, non-political environment group that began in 1994 to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world.
The Workplace in Bloom competition, which has been taking place across the business over the past few months, sees Business Units, sites and depots compete against each other to bring life and colour to their places of work to win in a number of categories.
As a result of this International Green Apple Award success, Suzanne has also been invited to accept Green World Ambassador status and have the winning paper published in The Green Book (the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice) so that others around the world can follow their lead and learn from the achievement.
