Ringing in Genpact’s Continued Success at the NYSE

Last week, I had the special privilege of ringing The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) along with several members of our senior management team. This was a historic moment for Genpact, as we mark 10 years since our public listing and 20 years as a company.

As we celebrate this success, I can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. Since 2007, we have grown on a global scale, nearly tripling our revenues and more than doubling our workforce to more than 77,000 employees in over 20 countries. We’ve also significantly expanded our global client relationships during this time from 55 clients in 2007 to more than 265 clients that are above $1 million in annual revenue today, including more than one-fourth of the Fortune Global 500. Most importantly, we have transformed Genpact into a professional services company that is driving digital transformation for our clients through talent and innovation in products and services.

This year in particular we have shown tremendous momentum – with strong business growth especially in Transformation Services, a refreshed and laser-focused go-to-market strategy fueled by deep expertise in domain + process + digital, and the launch of our rebranding “Transformation Happens Here.” I am proud of the steps we are taking to write the next chapter in our evolution, and look forward to many more exciting milestones to come.  

When it came time to ring the bell, however, I wasn’t thinking about our stock price or growth numbers. I was thinking about our incredibly talented people, because without them, none of this would have been possible. I’d like to take a moment to thank our extraordinary team. It is your curiosity, hunger to learn, grow and innovate that has enabled us to constantly stay ahead of the curve, and will continue to be a driving force behind our success. I am incredibly proud of the culture we have built together that thrives on change and continuous improvement, and hope you feel equally proud of these achievements.

I’d also like to thank our fantastic clients, who have trusted us to turn their digital aspirations into reality. It takes courage to change the way a company operates, and we’re proud to partner with each of you on this journey.

We truly have come a long way over the past 20 years, and the best is still to come. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead!
