-Cutchogue New York Navy Veteran Raymond Annabel -

NAVY VETERAN ROBERT ANNABEL was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York and this is a tribute in my own take since he also was the owner of property in Cutchogue in a location known as FLEETS NECK.
"Raymond Annabel has returned from a vacation trip to Tilton, N. H., {stet ~ comma not necessary) with his aunt and uncle, {stet ~ comma not necessary} aunt and uncle Mr. and Hamilton Robinson of Woodhaven Mrs. James Annabel and children, Jacquelin and Roger of Mineola. The James Anabel {stet} family spent Sunday at Fleet's Neck with the Harry Annabels. Roger stayed over for a week's visit." {From the CUTCHOGUE column by MRS. E. "Mrs. Harry Annabel entertained over the week Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kiernan and daughters and Mr. Raymond Annabel of Jamaica."

"Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Annabel of Stillwater Avenue spent the weekend at their summer home with their two daughters."

"Raymond Annabel, ET-3 of Norfolk, Va., is enjoying a 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Annabel of Stillwater Avenue."
The Long Island Traveler-Mattituck Watchman dated November 05, 1953:
"MRS. HARRY ANNABEL
Our community was saddened last Tuesday when it heard of the sudden passing of Mrs. Harry Annabel of Fleets Neck at the New York Hospital in New York. Mrs. Annabel had not been in good health for several weeks. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, a wonderful mother, kind friend and neighbor.
Funeral services were held in Jamaica on Saturday morning. Interment was also in Jamaica.
Mrs. Annabel leaves her daughter and husband and four sons. Mrs. Thomas Kiernan and Eugene Annabel of Jamaica, Vincent Bernard and Raymond Annabel of Cutchogue. Raymond is in the Navy aboard the carrier Midway. Mrs. Annabel is also survived by fourteen grandchildren,"

"Attending the Danbury Fair over the weekend were the B. J. Annabel and Vincent Annibel families. They met their brother and sister's families, Raymond Annibell and Mrs. Thomas Kearman there. The weather was poor but all enjoyed the Fair."
