A 'Ring Of Fire' From American Skies
A ‘Ring of Fire’ From the American Skies
??Today we report on a rare event that took place on October 14, 2023. Last Saturday, around eight o'clock in the morning, and midday local U.S. time, scientists, and sky watchers were treated to a spectacular view of a joint appearance of #Sun, and #moon in the same circle. The five-hour event begun in Oregon shortly after eight o’clock in the morning, and ended at Midday in Texas.
??In real-time, the Sun, and Moon do not move, or say, run in the same circles. However, last weekend, it happened. The Sun, and Moon appeared on the same circle, thereby, resulting in what scientists call 'Annular Solar Eclipse.'? An 'Annular Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun, and the Earth. The Moon must be at its farthest point from the Earth. When this occurrence takes place, all stars are blackened except the outer rim, thus leading to the formation of a "Ring of Fire." It is this RING of Fire that scientists, and sky enthusiasts rushed to watch on Saturday morning.
?The bespoke 'Ring of Fire' you see in the image above was captured by NASA scientists at Lake View, Oregon. West Coast in America provided the best views of the 'Annular Solar Eclipse, while the view became partial as one moved farthest toward East. Saturday's rare occurrence marks the last 'Annular Solar Eclipse that will be seen from the American skies. NASA reported that the next 'Annular Solar Eclipse will take place in June 21, 2039, and will only be visible in the State of Alaska.
