Right Way Day

Right Way Day

Every morning I am up early and in the gym. I do this as a form of moving meditation. Usually in the shower shortly after 6, and then it's out the door. But the door never opens unless I start the day, the right way.?

Right way day is what I call preprogramming. Once we leave the house, life happens. We go to work or run errands, stress starts to creep in. We have obligations to get to. Knowing this, I like to program my head before my body leaves the house. So there I am, standing in the shower after my morning workout. 365 days a year, I repeat this practice. As the water beats down on me, I visualize all things unhealthy and unneeded flowing down the shower drain. I then begin to repeat 4 words. I don't know where they came from. I just know that one day, long ago, I started saying {almost chanting}, no stress, no fear, no darkness or disease. I repeat it over and over again. Until it becomes rhythmic.?

Some people pray. Some people meditate. Some people drink coffee. Others jump on social media. Truthfully, I do them all. But from the gym to the shower, that's where the magic happens. My days run about 15-18 hours Monday thru Friday. And those long days do take a toll on me. So, I preprogram myself for the best possible outcome. Does this mean I don't have bad days? Of course not. My ritual of meditation and gym do not make me exempt from bad days, pain or frustration. There is no mystical force that is going to save me. But what my ritual does do, is give me the head space to save myself. Do you know how many times I have packed it up, and not out worked the problem in the past decade. Zero! True story bro...

Some people like to leave life to chance. And in reality, just about everything is beyond our control. But we can learn to respond rather than react. And that is the mystical force that gives you a say, on how the day is going to go down. So when people ask me why I start my ritual at 4:30 in the morning? I say, right way day. How about you?
