The “Right” Time for Better Learning…
It’s easy to convince ourselves that now isn’t the right time to be making decisions. That we should wait for the storm to blow over - imagining a future where life has resumed to normal. Although tempting and understandable, the problem is that this imaginary future never arrives. Once the storm blows over there will be newer problems to distract us.
Over the last 14 years I’ve realized that 80% of learning has nothing to do with the subject / domain. Our ability to learn is driven more by internal factors such as our Attitude, Personality and our Values.
Better Learning.
That’s the goal. Two words.
If you’re learning English that’s the hard part. The important part. The part that will open the door to you being yourself when using English in real-world situations.
It’s unlikely that Better Learning will just happen. That one day all those hours reading boring texts, completing grammar exercises and memorising vocabulary will fall into place and you will be able to use English. The problem is that preparing for the Exam is not the same as preparing for real-world situations. You don’t get Better Learning through studying grammar rules and vocabulary. It turns out that it is more productive to take the necessary steps to allow it to happen.

The magic happens when you apply your human skills and take full responsibility for your learning.” A secret (unknown to you) method will change your current against-stream flow to Better Learning and turn your flow in the opposite direction. You have to change the part of the mind you use now and shift your goal of Better Learning to the other part of the mind you used as a child and forgot how to use as an adult. All children acquire their native language subconsciously using the subconscious part of the mind that is superfast and has memory loss or cross-translation problems. Adults use the conscious part of the mind for Better Learning, which explains all failures and struggles known to millions of adults who could not communicate in English after learning ESL for 3+ years.
