Right on the Money$...
Background
Lately, I'm having a lot of dialogue with people, and among other things, money conversation comes up in almost all these interactions. And, this inspired me to share my knowledge of money.
My money story
A few years ago, my life hit rock bottom, and that's when I went on a spiritual journey and reached the Himalayas. I used to be naive about money until up to my journey there. I learned a lot about money from the monks at the monastery (I know the most unlikely place :-)) Since then I started to meditate and visualize money as a great stream of flowing golden substance, passing out of the control of greedy forces and into the power of spiritual forces that are doing good work to aid humanity. Contrary to the common belief, money, and spirituality are not mutually exclusive entities.
All about money
Money is part of the universe’s energy and is a sacred trust to be used wisely for both ourselves and the good of all.
Money can create attachment: either desire or fear of lack. When money is freely given, more can be received from the abundant supply of the Universe. This is why giving is the most selfish thing you can do for yourself.
Money is an energy exchange, when you are not involved in the trade with the world and are too isolated, you may not be able to attract capital to yourself. You may have a lot of resistance towards money: about making it or asking for it.
Sexy money
Chakra imbalance and blockage in our lower body centers, in the pure or sexual chakra, can also be the cause of a lack of money. You may be surprised to know that your sexual center is also your money center. Most advertisers and marketers know this well, and this is why they typically use sex to sell a product or service.
Money, relationships, and attitude
People may have a wound from negative experiences around money, such as when they were growing up a sense of fear, worry, or scarcity. How many of us were told that money is the root of all evil?
Money creates relationships with those you share it with, and relationships are fundamental to the core of human existence.
By developing and maintaining detachment and avoiding being absorbed in money and possessions, you retain your inner freedom.
To be a spiritual master of money, you must resist using it to indulge sensual desires or to gain personal power. And, you can't abuse power acquired through cash.
To attract money
You must have a clear need for the money. You must have sufficient love of yourself, of others, of your work. And, you must be magnetic through your positive attitude, gratitude, and belief in the abundance of the universe. As you focus on thoughts that are for the benefit of the wider community, your magnetic attraction of money will increase. As you release and give away things you no longer need, you create a space for money to flow in.
Financial abundance and giving
If you want to be financially abundant, practice the spiritual law of tithing: giving at least 15% of your income to humanitarian and natural causes. As you give money freely for spiritual purposes, as it automatically redeems you from your past negative blocks with cash. This also the reason why many billionaires and millionaires set up charitable organizations and donate a chunk of their income. It’s also essential for us to invest in and buy from socially responsible businesses.
Parting thoughts
Money can't buy you everything, but we need money to pay our dues and contribute to humanitarian causes among other things.
