Right-Fit Clients Ghosting You? Or are You Ghosting Them?

Right-Fit Clients Ghosting You? Or are You Ghosting Them?

Welcome to the first edition of Scaling Secrets 4 Black Firms—the guide every ambitious Black firm Owner has been waiting for. It's time for exponential success. Here, I'm laying out how to turn those hurdles you're facing into stepping stones.

Have you ever found yourself checking your inbox one too many times, hoping for that message that says, "Yes, you’re the solution I’ve been searching for!" But instead....crickets.

Here's the deal: sometimes, you're not being ghosted; you're the one doing the ghosting—unintentionally making yourself invisible to those who need you and what you offer the most.

Let's explore three signs you might be unintentionally ghosting your right-fit clients -- and what to do about it:

  1. Your Messaging is doing the Cha-Cha Slide while your Right-Fit client is doing the Tamia line dance. (Have you learned it yet?) Your offers and solutions are amazing, but they're wrapped in a language your right-fit clients don't understand. There's a disconnect. The Fix. Learn the Tamia line dance! (Just kidding) Revisit your core message. Is it about you, or is it about the needs and desires of your right-fit clients? Make sure the communication across all platforms is a clear, direct invitation to them, spotlighting the outcomes of partnering with you.
  2. You're playing hide-and-seek digitally. Being online isn't just about existing, and it doesn't mean you're being seen; it's about shining so bright that even the sun needs shades. You want to intentionally be visible and present, not post to check off a box.The Fix. Give your digital identity a thorough check-up. Everywhere you show up (which should be wherever your right-fit clients are), you have to make sure your value proposition stands out boldly, guiding your right-fit clients straight to your door...or your inbox...with no detours.
  3. Your Follow-up game just...isn't. Being consistent in your follow-up could be the difference between "seen-zoned" and let's talk business. Is it memorable, or does it fade in the background like elevator music? The Fix. Map out a follow-up plan that's the perfect balance—engaging but not overwhelming. Leverage automation for consistency, but don’t forget the personal touches that underline why you’re the expert they need. If you don’t have a CRM, a simple spreadsheet can be your starting point.

Which of these areas strikes a chord with you? Have you spotted a gap in your strategy, or maybe you've found an opportunity to tune up your approach? Share your thoughts below; let's get the conversation started and turn those insights into action.

What an interesting way to flip the script on ghosting Kreda McCullough. My online presence can be something I see as a task to check off. But, as you said, it's about being intentional with the right-fit clients and "shining so bright that even the sun needs shades." (Great line!)

They always say the fortune is in the followup...and yet, so many of us let this important piece fall by the way side. I've definitely been working on improving my followup game. Great insights, Kreda McCullough??

Kreda McCullough that "hide and seek" point resonated with me. I'm getting better, but definitely I'm here one day, then gone for the next 21. Appreciate the call out. ??
