The Right Coach For You

I get asked by many people am I the right coach for them.

The easy answer answer is NO, I am not the right life and business coach for everyone. I'll explain. We're all individuals and as a coach, I understand this and being able to listen and analyse to what's going on in your life is how we can identify issues and finding ways for you to overcome them, or at least work around them.

I understand that I'm not the right coach for everyone as all of us have different needs, but I am able to empathise and talk through your issues in an understanding way, enabling you to become empowered, and then allowing you, with my help, to achieve the dreams and goals that you've set yourself. 

You might not even know that you need a life and business coach yet, but here are some of the reasons why I might not be the right coach for you.

The seven reasons are: 

1. I am only human -  Even I struggle with life sometimes too. It can be hard and I just want to crawl back into bed with sweets and chocolate and just watch telly, trying to avoid adulting.   Some days I'll compare myself to others or spend all day seeing if I can short the system and do a reboot.
2. There is no fluff - There is no quick fix plan where I promise you the world in 10 easy steps. It takes honesty, commitment, and hard work as I will ask tough questions, which may make you feel uncomfortable, getting to under the surface excuses to what is really hurting you.
3. I will be on your back - I'm a great believer in accountability. I have people who keep me accountable. If you say you're going to do something, I will be checking up on you.
4. I will not promise you the world - My coaching comes from an integrated range of psychologically grounded coaching frameworks, meaning that I don't use questionable tools and techniques.   Also, I won't ever guarantee you a huge income working only four hours a week from a water bungalow in the Maldives. If I could, I would be there, I'm here to help you get what you want.
5. I work with reality - I'm hopeful, not delusional, meaning I work with reality and will not tell you to give up your job to become a full-time knitter of tank tops for owls, instead we'll work through what you've got and make the changes to put you back in charge of your life.
6. I will help you, but you will have to do the work - My coaching focuses on why you are feeling the way you do, what happens as a result and how we can work to put those patterns and habits to move you forward. But it has to be you that makes these changes, not me.
7. I am me - I'm an ex British servicemen who wears his heart on his sleeve. I've spent the last 51 years training to get where I am now to be able to help people and I love it. I ride motorbikes, drink and enjoy every day of my life because I'm able to help other people. 

We can all live a more fulfilling and satisfying life if we're willing to put the work in, I'm not the perfect life and business coach for everyone, as I've said, however, the clients I do have find me energetic and passionate about helping them, getting all of me all of the time.
