The Market Rollercoaster

Wow what a week! The markets have been a mess all week with way too many stories for me to begin to touch on in this newsletter. Monday started with one of the largest selloffs seen in the last decade, coinciding with the sell off at the end of last week. Tuesday proceeded to see a bunch bought back and Wednesday continued this trend with mixed results.

Let’s talk about lessons in this giant mess.

If you didn’t panic sell on Monday, you would have recouped a lot of what you lost on Tuesday. This is where I check myself, because I was one of the people who sold something they shouldn’t have. This is a lesson in itself because you can’t panic due to pullbacks all the time. Yes, you play the charts, make educated moves. But, you can’t balk on emotion due to the markets going down. I constantly have to remind myself of this. If you’re investing, be confident in the stocks you’re in. There’s a reason you bought them. Let’s take a look at some charts.

$Wulf

In my last edition I wrote about $wulf sitting at a down trend of 7.2%. If you look at this graph, I had actually charted the reversal as confirmed by the T/R bar at the top of the graph. This is what I mean by following charts and reading them. This indicator would have saved me if I listened. Not that I lost a lot, I’m still holding this stock and am up. However, I could have exited on profits and re-entered on the lows. You can see where it bounced around $2.80. I think we sometimes have the tendency to hold things too long, not all stocks are just constantly going up. You NEED to take profits.

$Path

This chart speaks for itself, I’m a little under on this as my buy was around $12. Which I am actually good with. I’ve held through the dip. If I get extra liquidity I would scoop more up around $10.

This last chart is not one I’ve mentioned previously.?

$Hood

$Hood was demolished on Monday which led to an outstanding buying opportunity. I scooped up some shares on the slight bounce back at around $15. I also longed calls for $18 in Sept. If this stock is under $20, I see it as on sale.

Robinhood crushed earnings yesterday 8/7/2024?

They announced quarterly earnings of $0.21 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $0.15 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.03 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items. This is a 40% over achievement which is huge. I suspect this stock to be strong and I have targets set for a bit higher this year into next. Trading is becoming more popular with crypto and stocks. Bullish on $Hood

We are going to continue with my takeaways from Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.

In this section he discussed Quantum physics, which I won’t get into detail on.?

Read this quote from the book:

“Consider again that old-school toothpick-and-Styrofoam-ball model of how atoms were constructed. Back then, weren’t we led to believe that electrons orbited about the nucleus like planets around the sun? If so, we could pinpoint their location, couldn’t we? The answer is yes, in a manner of speaking, but the reason is not at all what we used to think.?

What quantum physicists discovered was that the person observing (or measuring) the tiny particles that make up atoms affects the behavior of energy and matter. Quantum experiments demonstrated that electrons exist simultaneously in an infinite array of possibilities or probabilities in an invisible field of energy. But only when an observer focuses attention on any location of any one electron does that electron appear. In other words, a particle cannot manifest in reality—that is, ordinary space-time as we know it—until we observe it.?

Quantum physics calls this phenomenon “collapse of the wave function” or the “observer effect.” We now know that the moment the observer looks for an electron, there is a specific point in time and space when all probabilities of the electron collapse into a physical event. With this discovery, mind and matter can no longer be considered separate; they are intrinsically related, because subjective mind produces measurable changes on the objective, physical world.”

So what does this mean for us? What does this have to do with our mindset?

“In other words, if you can imagine a future event in your life based on any one of your personal desires, that reality already exists as a possibility in the quantum field, waiting to be observed by you. If your mind can influence the appearance of an electron, then theoretically it can influence the appearance of any possibility.”

As mentioned, he says, theoretically it can influence the appearance of any possibility. This is all relatively new science that is being actively looked into.

What does this mean? It means we have the potential to create the future we desire through thought. But Kyle, how do you… what… is that possible?

In order to observe something you want to see you have to know what you are looking for. In other words, you must know what you want to be if you want to change the future to the one you desire. However, you need to take this a step further, you need to feel it.

When your feelings and thoughts (body and mind) are in alignment, that is when you can truly begin to create what you’re looking to be. This is something I am currently working on constantly. It is difficult to do, as it takes focus and constant practice to continuously move in the direction you want to be. Believing in something that is not currently real is not easy. Which is why the feeling part becomes so important. It is easy for our bodies to want to default back to the way they have always been.

Creating a future that you want takes practice, belief, and discipline to stay in alignment of what you desire.

This is why doing the things future you would do is important. It shows you that you are putting effort into becoming the vision of you that you have
