Riding and restoring classic Norton's!
Me aged 22 (now 30) With the original owner of my Norton 650SS who had owned it since new! My first foray into classic Norton ownership.

Riding and restoring classic Norton's!

A Friend asked me why and what is it like to own and ride a classic motorcycle and how it's defining my career break!

Life is bit just experiences that define us. Those life altering soul shattering moments that can break or make us. The connections, the other paths lost. Fate or coincidence?

History repeating or redefining from lessons learnt from those long gone.

Words bonds unspoken, when objects take on more, become more, feel more, live more. When machine and person give way to a connection that goes beyond every one before, history, monumental moments in time, giving a feeling of absoluteness. Running fingers touching, feeling, caressing, hairs raised on back of neck, a quickening of the pulse, an intake of breath.

Feeling the pressure under foot as she breathes into life. That connection that a button can not bring. The sheer joy of history reborn, of people connections moments all spilling into that second. All adding to what it is, what it feels to own, to ride, a vintage bike, a Norton a true bastion of 'Britishness' of a countries pride, of racers pride, of a brand that kept our soldiers safe in ww2. A brand that delivered so many race wins of a brand that connected so many different people through moments in time and is reborn again.

This is my 1968 Norton Villiers Commando, my Norton 650SS this is my story with them. Really though I am just another custodian of these wonderful bikes and memories, glimpsing through the hour glass of time to the past to the future. Relishing in the moments that have gone and are yet to come.

Thank you for following my humble journey and I hope you enjoy all the moments yet to come.
