The Ridiculously Ambitious Guide to Excellence
In a world where mediocrity is often mistaken for comfort, where playing it safe is hailed as wisdom, and dreaming big is deemed impractical, there exists a breed of individuals who scoff at the status quo and embrace the absurdity of excellence. These are the daredevils of determination, the champions of chaos, and the connoisseurs of craziness. They are the ones who understand that excellence isn't just a destination; it's a rollercoaster ride through the realms of care, risk, dreams, and expectations.
"Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise; risking more than others think is safe. Dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible," said someone who clearly had a penchant for living life on the edge of reason (and maybe a touch of madness).
Let's break down this nugget of wisdom, shall we?
Caring more than others think is wise: Picture this – you're the person who meticulously arranges the office coffee cups according to color gradients, ensures each potted plant gets its daily serenade of Vivaldi, and writes heartfelt 'get well soon' cards to the office goldfish. Some may call it overkill, but you? You call it caring. And who knows, maybe one day the coffee cups will reciprocate with a symphony of gratitude.
Risking more than others think is safe: Ah, the thrill of walking on the edge of a cliff while juggling flaming torches. Okay, maybe not literally (unless you're into that sort of thing), but metaphorically speaking, taking risks is like adding a dash of hot sauce to life – it's spicy, it's exhilarating, and sometimes it leaves you scrambling for the nearest glass of milk. But hey, at least you're not stuck in the blandness of the ketchup aisle.
Dreaming more than others think is practical: Who needs logic when you have dreams? Sure, building a skyscraper made entirely out of jellybeans might sound impractical to some, but to you, it's the stuff of Willy Wonka's wildest fantasies. Dream big, they say, and you, my friend, have a dream so big it needs its own ZIP code.
Expecting more than others think is possible: Raise your hand if you've ever been told, "Don't get your hopes up." Well, guess what? You're not just getting your hopes up; you're launching them into orbit and preparing for intergalactic high-fives with the stars. Because why settle for the ordinary when you can shoot for the moon (or better yet, the entire Milky Way)?
Embracing excellence isn't just about being a lone wolf howling at the moon of absurdity; it's about forming a tribe of fellow misfits, a fellowship of the freakishly fantastic. Surround yourself with people who share your penchant for pushing boundaries, who understand that failure is just a pit stop on the road to greatness, and who are willing to join you in your quest to turn the world upside down and shake out its pockets for loose change.
Together, you'll laugh in the face of adversity, dance on the tightrope of uncertainty, and raise a toast to the absurdity of it all. Because let's face it, life is too short for beige walls and lukewarm coffee – it's meant to be lived in technicolor with a side of espresso shots straight to the heart.

So, the next time someone tells you to play it safe, to lower your expectations, or to stick to the well-trodden path, kindly remind them that you're too busy crafting your masterpiece, too busy chasing shooting stars, and too busy defying gravity to be held down by the shackles of conventional wisdom.
Because in a world that thrives on the mundane, being a beacon of brilliance is the greatest rebellion of all.
And so, as you embark on your journey towards excellence, remember these words: "Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise; risking more than others think is safe. Dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible."
Let them echo in your mind like a rallying cry, spurring you forward when the road ahead seems daunting and the naysayers grow louder. Let them be the fuel that ignites your passion, the wind beneath your wings as you soar to new heights of absurdity and accomplishment.
And when you finally stand atop the mountain of your own making, looking out at the horizon with a twinkle in your eye and a smirk on your lips, remember this: the journey was never about reaching the destination; it was about the thrill of the climb, the joy of the fall, and the sheer audacity of daring to dream in a world that often settles for less.
So, here's to you, you purveyor of excellence, you maestro of madness, you architect of absurdity. May your days be filled with laughter, your nights with adventure, and your heart with the unshakeable belief that anything – yes, anything – is possible when you care deeply, risk boldly, dream wildly, and expect extravagantly.
And if all else fails, just remember: it's better to be a fool for excellence than a sage for mediocrity. Cheers to that!

10 个月Thank you Peter Montaglione. For me, Excellence is in my DNA. My #2 Strength is called Maximizer which means I don't do average and I have a natural ability to take things to excellence. Excellence for me is quality over quantity. I sometimes get too picky about things because I want them to be excellent so I have to watch that, but I believe in less is more and do it well to create an excellent experience for those involved.
