RIDC Moves Forward: Strength in Community

RIDC Moves Forward: Strength in Community

How y'all doing?

Despite the uncertainty that requires reaction, planning, and concern in this country, we see the RIDC's community members and partners continuing to move forward with—and for—us, without missing a beat.

This past month, we've seen an increase in donations from individual supporters ??, been introduced to even more potential members, and kicked off an exciting Black History Month campaign to educate and encourage more people to get out running and walking on trails.

AS RIDC CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS OF OPERATIONS THIS YEAR, THESE MILESTONES FEEL EVEN MORE SIGNIFICANT.

Internally, the RIDC board and staff are doing our due diligence alongside our legal team to assess current and future risks to the nonprofit's work while staying committed to our plans. This includes hiring a contractor Program Coordinator (see below), launching RIDC Athletes— a new effort in collaboration with race organizers and their sponsors to send RIDC community members to participate in their events—and continuing to make an impact in industry employment and ownership.

You could say we've hit an aid station to refuel for the miles ahead on this ultramarathon of ours. ??????♀????

As we move forward, you can continue to count on the RIDC to provide the same high-quality education, advocacy, and inspiration that drives our mission. If you're looking for ways to support our work, we'd love to hear from you—whether it's a contribution, an email introduction, a social media share about our organization, or an invitation to speak to your teams or community, every action helps push this organization forward. Just reply to this email to get in touch with us!

RIDC showed up in several cities this past month, including Miami, Seattle, Charlotte, and Phoenix. Thanks, y'all!
