That’s what I said last night as we proceeded to order salami sandwiches and chips.

Or, if you’re part of our crew, we say “sammiches”…

But I digress.

The thing is, all our meals are chef-prepared…ok…a TEAM of chefs, and the food is like legit top-notch, but last night we wanted a salami sammich and chips.

Nostalgia.

Yep.

Nostalgia.

You see, back home on Sunday nights, my wife and I would often chill and do nothing. We’d maybe grab a pizza…or walk to Larder, our local deli, and grab pastrami and salad…basically, it was a day where we just wanted to hang out together and not mess up the kitchen.

Kinda kick the feet up, grab a blanket, and snarf a sammich in front of the TV.

And as you know, or maybe ya don’t but will shortly, my wife is now here in Norway with me.

So last night, we felt nostalgic and respectfully told the chef that we just wanted salami sammiches and chips.

You wanna know something?

Something rather personal?

Blankets and TV may or may not have been involved. ; )

Hopefully, as you read this, perhaps you’re considering doing something old school or nostalgic. You see, it wasn’t so much about salami or Norway or a short story about finger food.

Nah…this is really about not forgetting the things that make you smile inside.

Even if you do have to tell the chef, “thanks, but tonite, we wanna sammich.”

?????? ???????? ???? ????????????, ??????????…

It’s what has made us who we are and will always be part of our core.

I hope this made you smile a bit.
