Rick Justus details his radical vision for ‘abundant’ communities, cities, countries, and civilizations on Earth and in space.
Like Bezos, Justus doesn’t like the ‘Plan B’ idea for why we want to go to space.
“Space is the ultimate sandbox. Imagine all we can be, do, have, and give. And, every probe we’ve ever sent has only confirmed that we already live on the best planet,” Justus explained at a Wednesday event in Sint Maarten.
“Earth isn’t a place we must leave behind. As we continue to evolve, explore, and expand further, Earth is worth protecting and preserving. It’s time to gain total clarity, become supremely focused, and take massive action in the direction of our boundary-pushing potential. We live in a universe and world of abundance, not scarcity,” Justus continued.
“And, no, I’m not trying to make us feel lovely and fluffy about everything. C’mon, I’m not that na?ve,” Justus added.
“To the degree we combine humanity’s pure potential with exponential technologies, we can design, create, and enjoy a world and universe of total abundance. Abundant communities, cities, countries, and civilizations throughout the cosmos are places where people want to live and work, now and in the future. Whether it’s a Martian megacity on Mars, giant floating colonies around the Earth, staying close to humanity’s home, or some other vision that involves a planet, moon, or rock, it’s not our place to suppress or squash the authentically audacious dreams of another.”
Justus’s Universal Abundance Based Economy describes a vision of how our communities, cities, countries, and civilizations are to be developed socially, economically, and environmentally.
It details the 12 essential elements of life and the 12 essential elements of org that will enable us to fulfill this vision, while respecting the wants, needs, and desires of future generations. Combined, these 24 essential elements of life and org present the ‘grand organized design’ for something that transcends sustainability. But what could transcend sustainability?
“Sustainable abundance,” says Justus.
“There are many global grand challenges that we must solve to achieve this grand vision. And this is the greatest time in human history. We are limitless.”
