Richard Mille pulls out of SIHH

The exodus of luxury watches from shows and events that brought them together with independent retailers continues as ultra high end luxury watch maker Richard Mille has decided that the 2019 SIHH will be the last one in which they will participate. Personally I'll miss them for both their amazing offerings as well as their presenter of record, Ted Diehl, who is able to keep your attention and get you excited about Richard Mille innovations - even after a long day of hyperbolic horolgy troweled out by so many brands. According to the press release the expansion of their own mono-brand boutiques is a better strategy to serve their growing international clientele. This does beckon the question; what will other brands with a similar strategy (Audemars Piguet for instance) decide to do moving forward?
