Richard Branson Selling B747-400 on Ebay

Selling a Jumbo jet on eBay is an interesting one. Richard Branson has just listed a pre-owned Boeing B747-400 on eBay. You can buy it now for $900K of start the auction process. This aircraft is mainly being marketed for spare parts so not quite sure how much it would cost to get it flying again.

The Boeing B747-400 is being retired and very few people are willing to buy and operate one. The twin engine Boeing B777 is replacing it both as passenger and as a freighter.

Is eBay the future place to buy and sell aircraft?
