Rich Recruiter, Poor Recruiter ????

Rich Recruiter, Poor Recruiter ????

I'm currently reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. It's not the first time I've read it, and it certainly won't be the last. And it's a book I strongly recommend... ??

Anyway... This quote stood out to me while reading last night before bed:

"Stop blaming me, thinking I'm the problem. If you think I'm the problem, then you have to change me.?

If you realize that you're the problem, then you can change yourself, learn something, and grow wiser.?

Most people want everyone else in the world to change.?

Let me tell you, it's easier to change yourself than everyone else." ― Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

There are some powerful lessons in that quote for you as a Recruitment or Search Business Owner... ??

Think about the business challenges right now or something you want to fix/see more of in your business... ??

It can be easy to fall into the trap of blaming something or someone else... ??♂?

But whoever the blame lies with holds all the power... ??

Here are a few examples from conversations I've had with Recruitment and Search Business Owners just this week... ??

It's easier to change your approach to the market than it is to change the market conditions... ??

It's easier to win new clients than to change your clients' hiring freezers... ??

It's easier to change your approach to hiring and managing team members than it is to change your underperformers... ??

I'll say it again... whoever the blame lies with holds all the power... ??

Look at your business... ??

Think about three things you want to fix or see more of and realize the blame lies with you... ??

Now, what are you going to do about it? ??

Why Hiring Managers Ignore You ??♂???

There’s an old saying in marketing that goes something like this…

“No one wants the quarter-inch drill; they want the hole in the wall.”

It basically means don’t sell the product; sell the outcome that the product gives the buyer… ???

This is a mistake I see Recruitment/Search Business Owners make a lot…

They sell the Recruitment process instead of focusing on the outcome… ??

Recruitment = I will help you find candidates.

Outcome = I’ll help you finish projects on time, within budget and increase profits (assuming that is something the candidate can do)

Hiring Managers don’t want candidates; they want what the candidate can give them… ??

When you focus on the candidate/Recruitment Process, you end up, at best, sounding like every other recruiter out there and, at worst, completely ignored… ??♂?

This is why Hiring Managers aren’t responding to your emails, don’t take your calls, and you’re constantly hearing things like “We’re not interested”... ????

P.S. We're running an online workshop today that reveals "How to win more Retained or Exclusive Clients with less effort and for higher fees using the APEX? Method"... It reveals 7 unorthodox secrets used by leading Recruitment/Search Business Owners in today's economy... ??
