RICH DAD POOR DAD FUN FACTS !

For the uninitiated, Bestseller Rich Dad Poor Dad series by Robert Kiyosaki teaches on how to make money work for you and get rich. It gives ideas on building up assets column and reduce liability column. Although, there are some interesting facts to know as well.

1.Nonexistence of Risk: The book revolves around the investment strategies to grow assets. Its definitely something to follow but with a calculated risk. Robert Kiyosaki advises to take risks and invest without any back up plan to rely on. We know with greater risks, comes greater profit but the risk should not sink you down. It’s very vague in practical approach.

2. Predefined characters: Robert Kiyosaki introduced Cash flow quadrants which consist Employees, Self-employed or Small business, Big business, Investors. People are classified in this quadrant according to their profession and spending habits. He is pretty set on the idea that to build wealth, big business and investment are must. Although, we have some examples where employees get paid much more.

Sunder Pichai, Google CEO, gets paid for nearly $200 million yearly. Isn’t he rich enough?

3. Kiyosaki’s failures and success: In 1970, Velcro wallet company (his own company) fell him apart. After that, he made up a plan and brought his business back to life for a while, but it still ended up going south. In 2012, his company Rich Global LLC filed for Bankruptcy again. Robert was still sitting pretty, reportedly having a net worth of around $80 million. He filed for bankruptcy, lost it all, then came back to being a millionaire. That shows he has the ability to make money and he apparently has an effective mindset but not a reliable business strategy.

Rich dad Poor Dad is must read book, just know that it’s a fictional book. It opens up senses about money, investment, finance and spending habits. It motivates to learn beyond school teachings and work smart.
