Rich Brady: Focused on the Mission

Rich T. Brady has had a dynamic career ranging from a 32-year stint in the U.S. Navy Corps, where he retired as a colonel, to taking on the role of CEO of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) and now IMA’s new Global Board Chair.

In her article “Rich Brady: Focused on the Mission,” writer Lori Parks highlights Rich’s can-do attitude, which Rich intends to apply at the IMA. Rich will employ valuable insights he gained during his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, including management, fiscal responsibility, acting ethically, and more.?

“The goal of basic training is to break you down and then build you back up,” said Rich, recalling his drill instructors’ efforts in shaping his military career and helping him push his body, mind, and spirit.

Rich’s first commissioned assignment was as a fiscal officer at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, where he ran the command’s financial operations and served as a platoon and company commander. Rich then worked at the Pentagon, having completed his education, which set the trajectory for his entire career.
