ANSWER:
In simple words Quranic word “???” (Riba) means: ‘overcharging’ and if you go down to its correct use the Arabic word “???” (Riba) refers to ‘strangulation’. Therefore, in common sense the Quranic word “???” (Riba) means: ‘overcharging by strangulation’, especially where it is used in a negative sense which makes it difficult to breath. However, in all other contexts the same Arabic word “???” (Riba) is used to mean ‘overcharging’ or adding markup in the original value of moneys, goods or services in a trade or business. If any business does not strangle people with overcharging or with added markup it is not forbidden in the Quran.
Hence, from the Quranic point of view Riba is 'Overcharging' consumed by strangling people, which has nothing to do with the interest or usury as falsely interpreted by our traditional and Quranist scholars. However, in fact Riba (???), i.e. ‘overcharging by suppression or strangulation’ is applied on everything in which it is made difficult for people to take breath in strangulation, suffocation or suppression of compulsory overcharging which is a cruelty, a punishable sin and forbidden in the Quran.
In this article I will present word for word in depth analysis and correct translation of Quranic verses 3:130 and 2:275 together with the overview of their contexts and an overview of many other Quranic verses on “??????” (Riba) to establish the true Quranic point of view on this subject which has been made limited to the ‘interest’ only by our scholars and they hide so many things which come under the definition of Quranic word “??????” (Riba).
Hence, the analysis of Quranic verse 3:130 is as follows:
“??? ???????? ????????? ???????? ??? ??????????? ???????? ?????????? ???????????? ??????????? ?????? ??????????? ???????????” 3:130
The popular Quranic phrase “??? ???????? ????????? ????????” (ya ayyuhallazeena aamanu) is understood to mean: those who took an oath of belief. The next phrase “??? ???????????” (la ta’kulu) means: do not consume and the word “????????” (ar riba) correctly means: the overcharging strangulation (as explained above). The phrase “??????????” (adh’aafan) is an active participle, a doer or a weapon of making someone weaken, making someone impair, paralyse, hollow, prostrate, faint, empty, impotent, feeble, debilitate, incapacitate, drain, hamper, incapable, exhaust, attenuate, lessen, diminish, decrease, and it hurts someone. Therefore, the indefinite phrase “??????????” (adh’aafan) being a single out active participle or a doer of the verb “??????”, (dha’fa) derived out of Arabic root word “???” (dha’f) is actually a weakening, a failing, a straggling, a debilitating, an incapacitating, a devastating, an exhausting, a paralysing, an emptying, a draining, a thinning, a hollowing, a harming, a hurting and an attenuating tool (????????? ????/????? ??????? ????/????? ??/????? ???? ????)
The next phrase of Quranic verse 3:130 which we are studying is “????????????” (mudhaa’fa) which is an active participle of “?????????” (mudha’fa), i.e. a state of flux, a wobble state, letting down, instability, mutation, a runny or melting state, liquidation, insolvency, deadly, shutting down, anti-dynamic. Hence, “????????????” (mudhaa;fa) is trembled, destabilised, liquidised, non-preservative, weaker, enervating, languishing, oppressing, devitalising of oppressed, all together, diverse, tangled, entangled, tortuous, copious, profuse, endless, untold, countless, staggering, immense.
However, both Quranist and traditional scholars falsely translate the above explained Quranic words “?????????? ????????????” to mean “doubles doubled” (Literal), ‘doubled and multiplied’ (Yusuf Ali, H/K/Saheeh, Malik, Hilali/Khan), ‘doubling and quadrupling’ (Pickthal, Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary), ‘doubled and redoubled’ (Arberry, Shakir, Qaribullah), ‘multiplying over’ (Free Minds), ‘doubling it again and again’ (JM Rodwell), ‘doubling and re-doubling’ (Asad), ‘doubling and re-doubling’ (Khalifa), ‘increased and re-increased’ (Abul Ala Maududi), G.A. Perwaz did not translate the Arabic words of this Quranic verse 3:130 but in his exposition he also defines “???” (Rabu) to mean ‘gain on capital’ which is the same ‘interest’ or ‘usury’ that is defined by others. However, in his exposition Mr. Perwaz inserts that Rabu (???) plays the biggest part in the social disaster. He adds, it is considered that wealth increases with it which is observed individually but in reality it decreases and weakens the national wealth. In the end Mr. Parwez advises the group of believers not to adopt the capitalism of “???” (Rabu) and always observe the laws of God this is the righteous way of success. (English translation of Urdu exposition of Quranic verse 3:130 given by Mr. G.A. Parwez on page153 of his book ‘Mafhoom ul Quran’)
Hence, all traditionalists and Quranists take the Quranic word “????????” to its false meaning but their style of falsification is different. The traditional Muslims call it ‘interest’ or ‘usury’ whereas, the Quranist Muslims twist it to call ‘gain on capital’ but the understanding of both traditional and Quranist Muslims is the same since they take “?????” (Riba) to mean: ‘interest’ and give the false interpretation of all Quranic verses of “?????” (Riba).
The next phrase “???????????” (wattaqu) means: and concur, and boost, and endorse, and accept, and admit, and comply with, and accede, and affirm, and agree with, and be in tune with, and harmonise with, and adhere, “??????” (Allah) means: God.
The next phrase “???????????” (la’allakum) is always falsely translated throughout the translation of the Quran. However, “??” is a preposition to mean: for/in order to, “??” (??????) means: arose, rise, swell, top, towered, exalt, “???”, justification for, show the justice or rightness of; demonstrate the correctness of; merits, or justice of (one's courage etc) or justify (a person, oneself etc) by evidence etc. give a satisfactory record of, account - give a satisfactory record of, occupy with, reason, account, interpret, explicit, determination and “????” is a second person plural objective pronoun to mean your, yours, yourselves.
The phrase “???????????” (tuflihun) is derived of “???” to mean: till, cultivate, develop land for growing, fertilise, raise, ripen, harvest, crop, farm but it is falsely translated to mean success or succeed.
Hence, word for word correct translation of Quranic verse 3:130 is as follows:
“??? ???????? ????????? ???????? ??? ??????????? ???????? ?????????? ???????????? ??????????? ?????? ??????????? ???????????” 3:130
O’ who believe, do not consume the overcharging strangulation, debilitating weaker, and adhere God for reason of your growth (word to word correct translation of Quranic verse 3:130)
I fail to understand as to why will the Quran stop people consuming double, quadruple, multiple, over and over, again and again, multiplying over, increased and re-increased interest, if interest of any kind is not allowed?
Does quantity really matter in declaring something forbidden as our scholars interpret ‘do not eat double, quadruple, multiple, over and over, again and again, multiplying over, increased and re-increased interest’?
Does it mean you can eat interest if you don’t charge double, quadruple, multiple, over and over, again and again, multiplying over, increased and re-increased interest?
However, I understand that theft is theft which is a crime and it is still illegal whether you steel 1 pence or 1 million. Therefore, to stop ‘financial exploitation the Quran cannot use the quantity of practice of any illegal or forbidden act as our scholars invented in their fake translation to mean ‘do not eat double, quadruple, multiple, over and over, again and again, multiplying over, increased and re-increased interest’!
Hence, to hide the all over financial monopoly or over all money exploitation our scholars deliberately gave us the false meaning of Quranic phrase “?????????? ????????????” to mean double, quadruple, multiple, over and over, again and again, multiplying over, increased and re-increased quantity so that they can easily fabricate the meaning of Quranic word “?????” (Riba) to mean ‘interest’, ‘usury’ or ‘gain on capital’. This is because everyone knows that ‘interest’, ‘usury’ or ‘gain on capital’ is multiplied.
Whereas, the Quranic phrase “?????????? ????????????” has been used to stop crushing the weak, to stop weakening the weak, to stop devitalising the weak, to stop destabilising the weak, to stop hurting the weak and to stop harming the weak by “????????”, i.e. by all kinds of overcharging or economic exploitation, which includes Overcharging, Inflation (increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money), Hoarding (purchasing, obtaining and holding large quantities of a commodity and resources to create artificial scarcity, thus reducing the supply, to increase the price, so that they can be sold to customers for more profit), Monopoly Pricing (dominating a market with power, by a lack of economic competition to produce the good or service, a lack of viable substitute goods, and charging a high monopoly price well above the seller's marginal cost that leads to a high monopoly profit). Interest rate Monopoly and Money Laundering, etc. which squash financially weak people and compress them forcefully.
Now, I am going to analyze the Arabic words of Quranic verse 2:275
"????????? ??????????? ???????? ??? ?????????? ?????? ????? ??????? ??????? ????????????? ???????????? ???? ???????? ?????? ??????????? ???????? ???????? ????????? ?????? ???????? ????????? ?????? ????????? ????????? ???????? ????? ??????? ?????????? ???? ???????? ????????? ?????? ??? ?????? ?????????? ????? ?????? ?????? ????? ????????????? ????????? ???????? ???? ?????? ??????????" 2:275 -
The subject pronoun “?????????” means, who, which, that and “???????????” refers to those who eat or consume. The word “????????” is the same which has been fully explained in the above paragraphs to mean the overcharging strangulation. Negating article “???” is used to negate the sentence to mean no or not. The word “????” means: cope, hold, defend, imply, justify, maintain, persuade, contend, meet, go down, go after, march, advance, put forward, schedule, to list or listing since Arabic noun “?????” is used to mean: list, schedule, manifest and enumeration etc.
Arabic phrase “???? ?? ????????” is used as a term of technology to mean Remedy Perform Cleaning. Whereas, the word “?????” (Iqamah) is used to mean: set up, stay, lodging, institution, indwelling and the versb “??” (qum) is used to mean: sweep, overrun and perform etc.
The word “?????” (kama) is used to mean: as, as such. As a legal & general term of Arabic phrase “??? ??” (kama hua) is used to mean: “as is” and “as it is”.
The phrase “?????????????” (yatakhabbathu) is a combination of third person objective pronoun “??” to mean: his, him, her or its and “???????????” means: stricken, knocking, calling for, commending, craving, imposing, observing, clipping, contending for, entreating, seeking, soliciting, touching, applying, begging, biting, acting haphazardly or pointlessly, tossing, rolling, colliding, befalling, becoming a victim of, blundering, tripping, slipping, oversighting, fault, error, lapse, slip, blunder.
The word “????????????” (Ash Shaitan) means: the Satan or the evil. The next article is preposition “????” (min) to mean: of, from, who, which. The next word “????????” is derived from the proto root “???” correctly means: happen, conceive, get, come to point, reach a stage, sense, realise or feel something. You can see more detail of Arabic word “???” (mus) in my article “Ablution “????” part 6.
The next word “??????” (zalika) is an indication noun to mean: that or that is. The phrase “???????????” (bi annahum) is the combination of “????” a third person plural objective pronoun to mean their or them. Whereas, “???????” means: with that, should, appear, be visible, clear, distinct ; emerge, evident, manifest, manifest itself, obvious, patent, plain, reveal itself, show, surface, arise, be apparent, be clear, come into sight or view, known, look, rise, seem, sound, visible, come into sight, come into view, come out, come to light, give the impression of being, develop, crop up, builder, mason, contractor, jus, dressing, flavouring, topping, relish, dip, spice, herb or dietary supplement, preparation of the leaves or fruits, growing or beneficial plant, moringa, dietary medicine.
The next phrase “????????” is actually a grammatical combination of “?????” means: expressed, thought, supposed, imagined, reckoned, acknowledged, pronounced, viewed, articulated, stated, mitigated, enunciated, advocated, maintained, professed, supported, think. Also “?????” is a synonym of Arabic words “?????” and “????????” to mean: take, hold and utter, and “???” is inbuilt pronoun. Therefore, “????????” means: they expressed, they thought, they supposed, they imagined, they viewed, they stated, they said, they uttered, they mitigated and they took etc.
The next phrase “????????” means: that what, that which, that is only or are only, but. The word “?????????” means: the vending, the selling off, the trade, the business, the commerce, the marketing, the merchandising, the commercial deal. The word “??????” means: agreeing with something or someone, consistence, corresponding in time or space, state of being similar to something else in size, number, quality, etc so that you can make a comparison, like for like, likeness, same as, being same, absolute sameness, resemblance, being similar, similarity, action or behaviour in accordance with established practice or adaptation.
The next word “????????” means: the overcharging and “???????” (ahalla) means: absolve, exempt, justify, allow, “??????” means God in Arabic language. The word “???????” (harrama) is opposite to “???????” to mean: forbidden, not allowed, unjustified, unexpected etc. The next phrase “?????” (faman) means: indeed whom, so whose, then who, in fact which. The next phrase “???????” (ja’ahu) is the combination of third person singular objective pronoun “??” (hu) to mean, its, him, his, her and “?????” (ja’a) means: come, arrive, reach, featch, get to, show up, bring forward, present, produce, mention, report. The word “??????????” (maoizatun) is a doer of “???” (wa’az) to mean: preachment, sermon, lecture, instruction, admonition, exhortation, recommendation, advice. The next phrase “???? ????????” (min rabbihi) means: from his/its Sustainer, of his or its Sustainer or Lord. The article “??” (fa) in the beginning of phrase “?????????” (fa antahi) is used to mean indeed, in fact, actually, so, then and “???????” (antahi) means: be over, end up, come to an end, termination, finish up, concluded, ceased, halted, give up, leave off. The article “??” (fa) in the beginning of phrase “??????” (falahu) means: actually, indeed, really, in fact, so , then, hence. Whereas, “??” (la) of “??????” (falahu) is the proposition to mean: for, in order to and “??” (hu) of “??????” (falahu) is a third person singular objective pronoun to mean: him/her/its. According to Arabic grammar this article “???” (ma) is negative (??? ???????) to mean “no” or “not” because it is coming before the perfect (past) verb “??????” (salafa). However, this article “???” is falsely translated in this verse to mean “what” as a subject pronoun and the verb “??????” (salafa) means: elapsed.
The next phrase “??????????” ( wa amruhu) consists of conjunction “?” means: “and”, “??????” (amar) means: matter, and “??” (hu) is a third person singular objective pronoun to mean: its, his, him, her. Preposition “?????” (ila) means: directed to, towars and “??????” (Allah) means: God. The next phrase “??????” (wa mun) means: and who, and whoever. Whereas, “?????” (aad) is a doer or an active participle to mean: doing again, repeating, going back to, recommence, resume, return to, revert to, take up again, turn again to. The word “?????????????” (fa ulaika) means: indeed they, so they. The next word “?????????” (ashabun) means: companions of, keep company of, attached, presented, escorted, affiliated, combined, connected, joined, united, keep company, be associate with. The word “????????” (an naar) means: the lightning, the conflagration or the Hellfire. The next word “????” (hum) is a third person plural pronoun and “??????” (fiha) means: in its/in her. The last word of this verse 2:275 is “??????????” (khalidoon) which is, due to the false belief and non Quranic concept of getting eternal life after the so called Day of Judgment, falsely translated throughout the Quran to mean: living or dwelling forever, abide therein forever, staying immortally or eternally etc.
Whereas, Arabic verb “??????” (akhlad) is correctly used to mean: be diposed to, incline to, lean to, resort to, take to, tend to, adhere and descend. Likewise, the word “??????” (khulud) is synonym of Arabic word “????????” (iqamah) to mean: stay, inhabitancy, inhabitation, dwelling and both words “??????” (akhlad) and “??????” (khulud) are derived out of the same root word “???”(khld) which is also the root of the Quranic phrase “??????????” (khalidoon). Hence, being an active participle of Arabic verb “??????” (khalada) the word “??????” (Khalid) correctly means: adherent, inhabitant, dweller or descendant. Therefore, the Quranic word “??????????” correctly means: adherents, inhabitants, dwellers or descendants.
Hence, according to the above analysis of Arabic words of Quranic verse 2:275 the word for word correct translation of this verse is as under.
"????????? ??????????? ???????? ??? ?????????? ?????? ????? ??????? ??????? ????????????? ???????????? ???? ???????? ?????? ??????????? ???????? ???????? ????????? ?????? ???????? ????????? ?????? ????????? ????????? ???????? ????? ??????? ?????????? ???? ???????? ????????? ?????? ??? ?????? ?????????? ????? ?????? ?????? ????? ????????????? ????????? ???????? ???? ?????? ??????????" 2:275 -
Those who consume the overcharging strangulation are not progressed but who progress as the evil stricken, from the sense that appeared to them they said that the overcharging is similar to the trade and God allowed the trade and forbade the overcharging, so whichever its instruction came from its Sustainer/Lord then leave off for Him, not elapsed and matter is directed to God and whoever is doing again they are companions of the hellfire in it they are dwellers (word to word correct translation of Quranic verse 2:275)
Therefore, banking or doing a bank job or working in finance is not a problem and receiving the interest on your money from the bank is also not a problem because the bank invests your own money into business and gives you a smaller portion out of the huge profit whereas the bank keeps a larger portion of the profit. So, it is quite legal to take your portion of profit from your bank.
In the Quran ‘Riba’ is also called Allah’s debit on people who hold access wealth, which establishes the right of God on wealth that is basically a public property and in the verse 4:161 people have been stopped from misusing it. Paper or coin currency, and all forms of money exploitation comes under the same category. The verse 3:130 clearly stops using these diverse tactics to consume freely occupied money and the verse 3:134 in the same context urges people to disburse and channelise money to keep its balance among people. The next verse advises the cruel to seek forgiveness on their above stated cruel acts. Likewise, the verse 2:275 comes under the context of disbursing money for the welfare of needy people by way of charity which has been made obligatory in the Quran and the statement of the same verse 2:275 also stops consuming people’s money or property by strangling them as the literary meaning of “???” (Riba) is strangling, which puts people in such a difficult situation in which they can’t breathe and their survival goes on risk. The same word “???” is used in general Arabic as a medical term of difficulty of taking breath this is the reason why Asthma is called “???” (Riba) and bronchial asthma is called “?????”(al rabu) in general Arabic language which can be seen in all Arabic books of medical sciences. You know very well the deadly disasters of Asthma in which those who have asthma they get chocked and cannot breathe properly. The next verse 2:276 makes it Allah’s right “???????? ??????” from its disbursing point of view for the benefit of people (????????????). Unfortunately, the verses of Riba are always wrongly translated by both the traditionalists and the Quranists to keep “???” (Riba) limited to the “interest”, according to their traditional false belief. However, the Quranic word “???” (Riba) has been actually used in the Quran for all types of money abuses, its monopoly, its manipulation and its exploitation in which living is made difficult for people same as if they have difficulty in breathing when they suffer from the attack of asthma, which is called “???” (Riba) in Arabic.
My point of view is not different from the actual point of view of the Quran, which I have already explained to you that has been revealed in the Arabic text of the Quran.
However, people always accuse those who follow the right path and find the truth. This is also true that we are brainwashed by our parents and religion is given to us like our given name. However, if people can change their name when they grow up they can also give up their given religion without any compulsion.

4 年Dr Kashif Khan Sir, will the two hundred and seventy-fifth sentence of the second chapter be re-analyzed? Doesn't the issue of hellfire in this sentence conflict with the correct translation of the twenty-fourth sentence of the second chapter?

4 年Addition to my previous comment.....while I was contemplating on how to implement/practice Allah's instructions in the absence of Prophetic traditions (since they are all fabricated), I realized that if we do not follow Hadith, then, the only way we can do it is by following our conscience which tells us what is right or wrong. Looks like Allah has given clear instructions in His Books for all of mankind and then follows it up by guiding us through our conscience, thereby making the guidance complete. However, the question: why does not everyone like to follow the instructions in our respective religious books and/or our conscience even though we all are made up of same atoms but in different compositions? remains to be answered. Dr.Khasif may say it is because of our enraged, evil characters and also deny any external influence such as Shaytan -:). From where/how do we get these evil characters? From our past life? If so, how did we get them in our past life? Why did Adam&Eve disobey God, why did Cain kill Abel? Thinking...(I have an answer but not sure if it is THE answer....so, unable to share it here).
