The challenge for retailers has always been the need to sell more cars, either to meet month end targets, or to replace inventory to replenish used car stock.
A dealership sales event isn’t anything revolutionary. It works the same for most retail-based businesses, of course, where a ‘sale event’ often drives engagement and provides increased stock turnover, however, the automotive sale process is different to an item of clothing or household product. As a car is one of the largest monetary investments a consumer is likely to make, such the buying experience is different.?

In the lead-up to the event, we generated 62 appointments across the 4-day sales event. By providing the necessary coaching, the retailer completed 44 sales at a £125 cost per sale. This gives us a 71% Lead Sale conversion rate.

Our VIP event takes the hassle out of the whole process. Packaged up to provide the best value, the ‘event’ begins with digital communications several weeks before but can also include direct mail. These communications set the scene with video, email, and SMS touchpoints, to drive awareness, and create intrigue about the potential of a deal.
Our in-house marketing team create creative artwork to fit your brand with an emphasis on driving in-market car buyers to book an appointment through an industry-leading booking portal. The customer journey is personalised and unique, ensuring ease of booking whilst providing the most relevant information including part exchange.
Aligning all of the moving parts of the VIP event might seem simple enough and is often glossed over but the activation of events is the secret many people miss. In preparation for the events, we build a relationship with your dealership, speak directly to your sales teams, and brief you on how we plan to make your event a success. Our event briefings aim to then bring together the communications with a qualification process to establish buying motive, as well as stacking the deal for the customers in advance of their visit to the showroom.
The entire objective is that by the time the customer arrives at the showroom for the event, they are primed to buy, and all of the detail has been secured to allow them to purchase. That’s where the showroom kit enhances the experience. We supply the physical showroom experience such as banners, drapes, lighting, ropes and posts as well as VIP carpets.?The experience will add to the difference.

Customers often remind us that they can do their own events for less cost, and though we understand that times are hard for many businesses and that the price of our events might not be as cheap as some individuals would hope, we can’t cut corners on quality with a lower price point or cheaper alternative. We provide great value and the return on investment our customers receive will more than justify the cost.
We cannot provide proof of our customers doing our events for cheaper and if they work better. Sadly, we haven’t been able to see the evidence of this.
Even with all this we just want to share with our network that we aren’t perfect, but our events are close to perfect.
