Enactus is a globally recognized network of aspiring business leaders committed to empowering underrepresented communities through sustainable entrepreneurial endeavors. The term Enactus stands for "Entrepreneurial Action Us," reflecting the core principles of the organization.

Established in 2014, Enactus Maitreyi is dedicated to fostering dynamic social entrepreneurs among students. We provide a platform for brainstorming projects aimed at enhancing the skills and self-sufficiency of beneficiaries, aligning with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations.

We prioritize values such as social empowerment, environmental sustainability, and responsible entrepreneurship in our endeavors.

Enactus Maitreyi has consistently worked towards destigmatizing marginalized communities and fostering their inclusion in society. Through various projects, we strive to elevate their status and promote respect and dignity for all individuals.

Now, let's delve into one of the earliest projects undertaken by Enactus Maitreyi .

Project Unnayan:

As admirers of strong, independent women, we often pondered how to embody such resilience ourselves. Recognizing the societal barriers that women and girls face, Enactus Maitreyi took a firm stance to uplift those in underprivileged communities. Thus, Project Unnayan,? ‘Unnayan’ which means upliftment, was born with a mission to elevate the socio-economic status of women in marginalized regions.?

Under Project Unnayan , we launched a range of high-quality dishwashing liquids named- ‘Clean Ninja’ that not only promoted cleanliness but also created stable income opportunities.?

Enactus Maitreyi's first project, 'Unnayan'? targeted three underprivileged women in the Mayur Vihar area and actively worked towards uplifting and helping them improve their living conditions.

Our main aim was to make these women independent entrepreneurs.

Project Swadhin

Yet, within their unique journeys, there is a perfection that transcends conventional definitions.

Rather than feeling sorry for them, let's be supportive and encouraging, helping them to grow beyond the limitations of society. Because every visible barrier conceals an infinite potential just waiting to be realized, which is evidence of the resilient spirit that exists within the human heart.?

Project Swadhin shared the vision of empowering specially-abled individuals to achieve self-sufficiency. By tapping into their latent skills, we aimed to break stereotypes and foster independence.?

Together, we forged a community united in purpose, transforming blank sheets into vibrant diaries and notepads. Upholding principles of efficiency and resourcefulness, we introduced innovative concepts like pocket diaries tailored to modern preferences.

Through SWADHIN products, we breathed new life into traditional block printing, offering beneficiaries a platform to polish their hidden skills.

Together, we work to maximize production and minimize waste.?

Project Samya:

In a society where those afflicted with HIV+ face unjust discrimination, Project Samya seeks to dismantle stigma and promote equality.

"Hate the disease, not the diseased,"?

An individual living with AIDS not only contends with the illness itself but also confronts the ongoing struggle against the stigma associated with it. Despite progress, HIV/AIDS continues to be surrounded by secrecy due to enduring societal stigma. This stigma places people within our communities at risk of discrimination, rooted in misconceptions and incomplete information. HIV/AIDS often attracts unwarranted hostility, condemnation, and hostility from those who are ignorant about the condition.

Our highly skilled beneficiaries utilized their talents to craft stylish and functional utility pouches from recycled textile materials, addressing both your practical needs and the environmental concerns of our planet. These pouches were offered in a variety of sizes and designs, ensuring that you could find the perfect fit for your needs.

At Enactus Maitreyi, we endeavored to bring about social transformation in the lives of women living with HIV.

"Little efforts will have a big impact ".?

We took incremental steps to produce essential utility items for girls everywhere: scrunchies and tote bags. These products came in a range of fashionable designs and colors, allowing you to select the perfect one for your preferences.

Project Samya aimed to assist individuals living with HIV in leading fulfilling lives. Our beneficiaries primarily consisted of women affected by HIV. In addition to providing them with opportunities to earn a livelihood, we strived to boost their confidence and sense of self-worth.

Enactus Maitreyi shows support for all those suffering from HIV.?
