Rewilding Britain Returns as Charity Partner for Blue Earth Summit 2025

We are excited to announce that Rewilding Britain will once again partner with Blue Earth Summit as a Charity Partner for 2025. This continued collaboration highlights our shared dedication to creating a sustainable, nature-rich future and showcases the powerful role rewilding plays in addressing climate and biodiversity challenges.

A Natural Partnership

Rewilding Britain has been a driving force in the movement to restore nature at scale, promoting the idea that biodiversity recovery and climate resilience go hand in hand. Their work focuses on re-establishing natural processes and habitats, reintroducing key species, and engaging communities in rewilding efforts. This mission aligns perfectly with Blue Earth Summit’s vision to catalyse systemic change by connecting purpose-driven businesses, individuals, and organisations to tackle global challenges.

Rebecca Wrigley , Chief Executive of Rewilding Britain said:?

"We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Blue Earth Summit in 2025. Rewilding is about more than restoring nature—it’s about creating healthier landscapes, resilient communities, and new economic opportunities. Collaborations like this help drive the systemic change needed to ensure a thriving planet."

Rebecca Wrigley’s 2024 Summit Panel

One of the highlights of Blue Earth Summit 2024 was the panel discussion hosted by Rewilding Britain, titled "How can high-integrity investment boost rewilding across Britain whilst ensuring equitable community benefit?" Led by Rebecca, the panel brought together an exceptional group of experts, including:

The discussion centred on the potential of rewilding 30% of Britain to unlock a nature-rich, low-carbon future. The panel explored the many benefits rewilding can deliver, such as:

  • Carbon Storage: Harnessing natural ecosystems to sequester carbon and combat climate change.
  • Climate Resilience: Strengthening natural defences against floods and other climate risks.
  • Green Economies: Creating opportunities for eco-tourism, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture.
  • Community Wellbeing: Improving air and water quality, enhancing local livelihoods, and fostering better mental health through access to nature.

The session also addressed the critical role of high-integrity investment and financial systems that prioritise nature, calling for political will and sustained funding to make large-scale rewilding a reality.

Rebecca Wrigley’s insights on how to balance economic, environmental, and social needs were a standout moment at the Summit, inspiring attendees to consider rewilding as an essential part of the solution to the climate crisis.

Why Rewilding Britain is a Perfect Fit for Blue Earth Summit

The partnership between Rewilding Britain and Blue Earth Summit is rooted in shared values: a passion for preserving the natural world and a commitment to sustainability. By creating opportunities for collaboration, we aim to drive impactful change and inspire others to adopt rewilding principles in their own businesses and communities.

Rewilding Britain’s pioneering work, such as transforming landscapes across the UK and driving community-led rewilding initiatives, demonstrates how bold, innovative approaches can deliver tangible results. Their efforts are a testament to the power of nature as a solution to many of today’s most pressing challenges.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we gear up for the 2025 Summit, we’re excited to welcome Rewilding Britain back to share more of their incredible journey. This year, they’ll bring their unique energy to the Summit, inspiring attendees to think big and act wild? about the relationship between nature, business, and the future.

We’re particularly proud to showcase Rewilding Britain’s work in our programming, highlighting the economic and environmental benefits of rewilding and demonstrating how these principles can be applied across sectors. From carbon capture to community empowerment, the impact of their work is undeniable.

This was one of my highlights of 2024 so I’m thrilled we’re partnering in 2025.
