No Reward No Productivity

No Reward No Productivity

Let's start this discussion by, One of the PRODUCTIVITY keys is what you get after finishing a thing or the REWARD.

Productivity is a matter of reward.

So, actually being burned out is not related solely to working a lot. Still, it's more a matter of putting a massive amount of work into something and getting nothing at the end of the process.

Doing a thing by investing a considerable amount of time in perfecting a defined craft is exhausting, especially for people making quality. They subconsciously wait for an ROI (return of investment) in different forms, and if it didn't happen after a long period of iterating in the same making process, THEY QUIT!

A reward can be in multiple forms, acceptance, recognition, money, appreciation, affection, and the list can go on.

? What not to do?

Another critical element that I'll draw here is DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHER PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE! Why?

  1. You are playing different games in different contexts
  2. Maybe the game he's playing hold a more significant reward amount than yours
  3. Some people are hard worker by design
  4. Some people reach the stage of making quality in less time

? What to do?

  1. Make a system of producing Quality
  2. Focus on the system, better than the end goal
  3. Promote your craft to gain more exposure
  4. Make a pattern of Producing => Promoting => Reward
  5. Iterate over the same process

If you are playing a game of less reward, you are using more perseverance and discipline than someone getting more rewards; so honor this act more than glorify the work of others because you are using more energy to endure.

My point

Productive people have a system of getting a REWARD at the end of their making process.

MAKE A PATTERN THAT PROVIDES A REWARD AT THE END OF YOUR MAKING PROCESS!

REPEAT THE PATTERN THAT TURNS INTO A HABIT!
