"Revving Life's Engine : A Wild Ride through Dreams, Disappointments, and Discoveries"
LinkedIn often features cliched content like tips and lessons, this and that, lacking fun and excitement. While these are undoubtedly valuable, I believe in balancing conventional content and success stories with enjoyable anecdotes and your failure stories as well.
So here's a wild ride filled with laughs, life lessons and a sprinkle of car enthusiast madness. Buckle up, the post is long but it's worth reading. ??
Year 2016
I was a car enthusiast back then, I still am, but abhi life ne bohot baar reality check de diya hai, so now whenever I see an exotic car on road and get happy, andar se ek awaz aati hai, "Abe yede kya dekh raha hai, isme tera ghar jayenga ??"
Zindagi ke dukh, dard, peeda ko humor se chupane ki nakaam koshish ??
Anyways, before coming to Pune I had not seen any exotic cars in real and had seen them only online or on tv / magazines. When I came to Pune, I used to come accross them very often and my love for them grew even more.
One day, I and my roommate friend Prayag, were just chilling and somehow we spontaneously made a plan on visiting Mumbai. So we packed our bags, bhai ne apni red Honda Dio nikali aur hum velle moped pe hi chal pade.
While roaming on roads of, The city of dreams Mumbai, a sleek Ferrari zoomed past us and I thought of visiting a Ferrari showroom and check out one.
At first we hesitated a lot and didn't have any confidence to enter the showroom as we were just 18-19 year olds, didn't even know how to drive and were not even going to buy anything obviously.
But then I was like chhod yaar zyada se zyada kya hi hoga, nahi jaane denge hume andar. Vaise bhi kaun jaanta hai apne ko yaha, kya hi insult hogi and we went, we were that mad ??
But the security guard didn't let us in despite our best efforts, so we returned with our sad faces to have vada pav.
After having vada pav, jo humare toote dil pe marham jaisa tha ??, I said to my friend, tujhe pata hai Lamborghini ka story kya hai?
Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of Lamborghini, was initially a tractor manufacturer. He owned several Ferraris and had some clutch issues with it. When he brought it to Enzo Ferrari's attention, Ferrari dismissed him by saying you're just a silly tractor maker, what do you know about sportscars.
On which Lamborghini gave him a befitting reply, one day I'll make a better sports car than you and thats how the Lamborghini brand was born.
To tu Ferrari ko goli maar, aaj tera bhai tujhe Lamborghini dikhayega chahe kuch bhi ho jaye.
Shayad vada pav chadh gaya tha mujhe ??
But vaha bhi guard ne rok liya and bola sir mai aise to nahi jaane de sakta, lekin thodi der baad sahab bahar ayenge cigarette peene aap unse pooch lena ek baar.
I called my dost, bhai, philosopher and a forever friend Pratik Dhoot and asked him how do I approach the sales guy and he gave me an idea.
When the sales guy came out for sutta break, I approached him with a little bit of hesitation and a made up story my friend gave me where I said that I run a blog called Carsome Mind (Pratiks blog) and I'm writing a blog on new Huracan and I need some actual pictures for it.
He saw through my shit and knew ki ye kuch blog vagera nahi likhra bas phenk raha hai, but also admired my enthusiasm and courage and let us in.
We checked the car out and got out of the showroom like happy puppies. Victory never tested sweeter?
Ab to Prasad bhai me aur himmat aa gayi aur bhai ne bola chal Rolls Royce dekhte hai ??
But unfortunately Rolls Royce showroom was closed.
So after coming back to Pune, whenever there was a new car coming out and we wanted to check out one, we used to visit the showroom and tell them that we are car enthusiasts and we are not here to buy anything and came just to see around if it's ok with you, people there used to happily let us in.
It was like our new found hobby and so began our quest to explore the world of luxury cars. Each visit was the reminder of the joy of curiosity and the thrill of the unknown. The extraordinary treatment we got at Marcedes Benz Kalyani Nagar was an experience of a lifetime.
I would have shared here that experience as well, but post bohot lambi ho jayegi.
So coming to the point I want to say that, one should not take life too seriously. (Aur ye likhte waqt anadar se phir se ek awaz ayi "Saale khud to poori raat sab cheezon ke baare me overthink karke nikal deta hai aur yaha gyan pel raha hai" ??)
To bhaiyo aur unki behno, practical baat karte hai. Life ko kabhi kabhi seriously lena bhi padta hai, itna aasan nahi hai sab. "Delulu is not the only solulu ??"
But itna bhi seriously matt lo ki you forget to enjoy little things in life.
When you're young, and life has not given you a reality check yet, you do anything you want without caring about the world or anyones judgements. You dream with your eyes open. Then life happens to you, shit happens and you slowly start loosing that innocent and fearless child within you.

Why cant we keep embracing life's adventures with the same unwavering courage and enthusiasm, no matter where the road may lead?
So go and ask your crush out jisse tum bohot time se baat karna chahte the (on your own risk, thappad bhi pad sakta hai bhaisahab ??),
belt out your favourite song at karaoke night,
go on a spontaneous trip and explore without a plan ??
Take the plunge and start working on that business idea you've been keeping on the back burner.
I've always had this fascination for food industry and maine bhi apna cafe start kiya tha, but life, as it often does, threw a curveball and I failed miserably.
It wasn't easy bouncing back from that failure. I failed despite dedicating immense effort and meticulously planning every detail with passion and diligence. However, reflecting on that experience today, I take pride in having taken the leap of faith. Despite the setback, I gained valuable lessons and now approach life with a mature perspective, seeing challenges as opportunities for growth.
Reflecting on those carefree, hopeful and fearless days, I realize how life often dims the fearless spirit of youth. Yet, those moments of unbridled exploration and joy serve as reminders of the beauty of innocence and fearlessness.
Aaila, ye to fun bolke serious post ho gaya re.
Maaf karna, excitement me idhar udhar nikal jaata hoon.
(See what I did there ? if you know you know ??)
By the way, what do you think? Maybe if I'll keep grinding, one day I'll take that Lambo home like a boss, hai na? ??
(Andar wali awaz phir se - Acchaaa, abhi bhi delusion me hai beta tu, kar kar try kar)
