Zypp is in the news for introducing ZyppDash, a real-time EV tracking dashboard for its clients.?

Akash Gupta and Rashee Agarwal, a couple who were concerned about the rise in pollution, founded Zypp in 2017. Both quit their respective careers to make the world a cleaner and greener place.?

The journey of Zypp started with the noble thought of reducing carbon emissions.?

They noticed that abroad, there were sustainable modes of travel like bicycles, which would not suit the busy and crowded Indian roads.?

They tapped the growing market of Last Mile deliveries and came up with a solution of Electric bikes for everyday food, grocery, and others considerably reducing the pollution rampant in urban areas.?

Zypp is an EV as a one-stop service platform. which offers EVs, drivers, EV charging infrastructure, maintenance support, and dashboards for real-time tracking. Anti-theft and battery swapping are the additional advantages.?

They built an impressive team with experts Vishwajeet Singh, Tushar Mehta, and Amit Goyal leading Marketing Operations and Technology divisions.?

Their idea has won appreciation from Angel investors. The first round of funding in 2018 was spearheaded by Venture Catalysts, soon followed by IAN Fund, 9 Unicorns, We Founder Circle, AntHill Ventures, Riso Capital, Dholakia Ventures, Nanavati Family office, Northern Arc. and Peaceful Progress.?

The concept of Zero Carbon Emissions captured the interest of various E-commerce platforms, and within five years they have tied up with 50 leading Delivery apps for food, medicines, groceries, and other packages. They teamed up with bike rentals too. Their partners include Swiggy, Zomato, BigBasket, Blinkit, Dunzo, DTDC, Pharmeasy, Portr, Rapido, Zepto, and more. They also empower drivers by providing Electric Vehicles on hire starting from a nominal fee of 100 INR.

Milestones Zypp achieved by 2023, 6 years since inception -

• They have a fleet of 8000 Electric vehicles, fulfilling 40,000 orders per day across six? ? Indian cities,?
• Till Jan 2023, they raised a total funding of USD 21 Mn
• Tied up with 50 major players in ECommerce.
• Nine Million deliveries as of September 2022
• Saved 23 million kgs of Carbon Emissions.
• Their expansion plans include a fleet of 2 lakhs vehicles, extending services to 20 Indian cities by 2025
• Aiding employment of delivery partners through EV hire at low cost, empowering women drivers with Female Rider Employment program.
