As President of Humanity Talent Network (HTN), I am committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the healthcare and life sciences industry. I am excited to share some of the latest developments and advancements in this area and new opportunities and resources available to our members.
Recent Accomplishments:
I am so excited to talk about the amazing accomplishment of Roz Brewer , the Chief Operating Officer of Walgreens Boots Alliance, who has made history by being one of only two black women on the Fortune 500 list. This is a significant milestone for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the business world, and it's a reason to celebrate!
Brewer's inclusion on this list highlights the importance of representation in leadership positions and how it opens up economic opportunities for all. As a woman of color in a leadership position, she inspires all women and people of color to strive to break barriers and achieve their dreams.
Organizations must prioritize DEI efforts in their workplace and create an inclusive culture where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed. Let's follow in Brewer's footsteps and encourage underrepresented groups to seek leadership positions in all industries.
We should celebrate Roz Brewer's historic achievement and continue working towards creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive business world. Let's make it happen together!

Healthcare organizations and leaders must prioritize initiatives to attract and retain a diverse healthcare workforce, such as targeted recruitment and executive development programs, creating an inclusive culture, and promoting diversity and belonging. By fostering more diverse clinical participation, we can improve the quality of care for all patients and help to reduce healthcare disparities.
What to Expect in 2023:
As we look forward to 2023, we see even more progress and diversity in the field, specifically in the form of more diverse medical school applicants, by providing resources and support to individuals from underrepresented groups, such as targeted recruitment, leadership development coaching programs, and networking opportunities.
Efforts will not be limited to increasing diversity in medical school applicants, but also to work on creating a more psychologically safe and equitable environment for people from diverse backgrounds. This includes creating a culture of inclusivity through training and education, promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, and implementing policies and practices that creates a safe work community for all.
In 2023 and beyond, we at HTN will continue to work towards a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive healthcare and life sciences industry, focusing on providing opportunities for underrepresented groups and fostering company cultures that resemble the wor
