The rapid evolution of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) has transformed the way organizations operate. As we witnessed at the recent Economic Times GCC Annual Conclave, the focus has shifted to not just setting up GCCs but maturing them to drive significant business impact.

Every GCC embarks on its unique maturity journey. While there's no one-size-fits-all approach, four key levers can significantly accelerate this process:

1. A Well-Defined Global Site Strategy:

  • Why Expand?: Clearly articulate the rationale for expanding to a new region.
  • Purpose of the Site: Define the specific role and contribution of the site to the overall business strategy.

2. A Strong Site Identity:

  • Unique Value Proposition: Clearly communicate the site's unique value proposition to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Alignment with Corporate Strategy: Ensure the site's goals and objectives align with the broader corporate strategy.

3. Leadership Influence and Advocacy:

  • Strong Leadership: Establish strong leadership at the site with a deep understanding of the business and the ability to influence decision-making at the corporate level.
  • Effective Advocacy: Champion the site's priorities and capabilities within the corporate headquarters.

4. Talent Acquisition and Development:
