As an academic deeply involved in the exploration of specialized experiential learning, I am excited to present my findings at the prestigious 8th International Academic Conference on Education (IACEDUCATION), scheduled for August 23-25, 2024, in Oxford, UK including a virtual day on the 25th. This renowned gathering attracts the world’s leading academics, scholars, and researchers, providing a platform to delve into diverse educational topics such as adult education, pedagogy, ICT, inclusive education, and more. My presentation, "The Impact of Specialized Experiential Learning on Empathy, Self-Efficacy, and Retention Rates in Business and Art Education," aims to contribute to this vibrant dialogue, offering insights into how targeted experiential learning (CEEP) can fundamentally enhance educational outcomes.

I find the evolution of AI in education particularly intriguing. Lingumi, established in 2015, stands out for its innovative approach to early language learning. This company has harnessed AI and augmented reality to create an interactive experience that captivates young learners aged 2 to 6. Their learning cubes and tactile play setup integrate seamlessly with tablets and smartphones, making English language learning both fun and engaging. With $7.68 million in funding and a robust development phase, Lingumi exemplifies how AI can enhance educational accessibility and effectiveness from an early age.

HowNow: Empowering Workplace Learning

Founded in the same year as Lingumi, HowNow addresses the learning needs of a different demographic—corporate employees. This cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) uses AI to tailor learning experiences based on individual and organizational goals. The platform’s capability to create dynamic content and provide actionable insights makes it a critical tool for companies aiming to enhance productivity and employee skills. HowNow’s approach resonates with my background in educational technology, emphasizing the importance of adaptive learning systems in professional development.

5Mins: Microlearning with a Twist

The newest entrant, 5Mins, started in 2021, is quickly carving out a niche in the competitive landscape of AI EdTech. Their gamified microlearning platform is designed to cater to the fast-paced, modern learner who benefits from short, focused learning sessions. The AI-driven content library and learning analytics offer a personalized learning journey, reflecting a trend towards more customized education that aligns with my own experiences and insights into educational technology's potential.

Up Learn: Maximizing Student Potential

Up Learn’s approach to K12 education through AI-driven adaptive learning and tutoring solutions captures the essence of modern educational needs. Launched in 2016, Up Learn uses neuroscience and AI to ensure that learning and retention are maximized, mirroring my own dedication to leveraging scientific insights to enhance educational practices. Their comprehensive support system and personalized learning paths underscore the transformative power of AI in educational settings.

Graide: AI-Enhanced Assessments

While based in Birmingham, Graide’s influence reaches into London’s educational circles through its AI-based assessment solutions. Since its inception in 2019, Graide has provided schools with powerful tools to enhance student learning outcomes through efficient and insightful assessments. This application of AI in evaluating educational achievement is a testament to the potential I see in AI to revolutionize educational assessment and feedback mechanisms.
