Text-to-music? Yep, that's right. Let's be real, text-to-image is SO 2022. We're moving on to text-to-music generators now! If you've ever wandered was a "Metallica country music" rendition would sound like, now you can. I've played around a bit with the tool at Riffusion and found this one tip. After putting in your prompt, let it cycle through for more than a minute and it'll start to create a decent version. The words are inaudible at the moment, but guessing the technology will improve itself as it's further "trained." Have fun!

Not everybody loves AI art. Guillermo del Toro has recently come out as one of the leading voices against animation created from artificial intelligence sources and machines. He believes that to create anything by such means is an "insult to life itself," and his new Netflix movie, Pinocchio, is made with traditional hand-crafted stop-motion animation to stand in direct opposition to machine-generated works. As Del Toro says, “I consume and love art made by humans… machines can't replicate creativity, they can only imitate it – so I'm not interested in illustrations made by them or the extrapolation of information.”

What's the lesson here? It looks like lawmakers have finally decided to put their money where everyone's mouth is: into teacher salaries! Rep. Frederica Wilson and her co-sponsors are proposing a federal minimum salary of $60,000 for all public school teachers. The solution to the education crisis is likely as complex and varied as the problem itself. Let's see if it has any traction.
