Raphael: ShippingCart is a cross-border shipping service that simplifies shopping from anywhere in the world and shipping to the Philippines. We offer acceptance, 30 days of storage, consolidation, and other value-added shipping services from our five locations around the world - US, UK, Australia, Korea, and Japan. We also have a "Buy for Me" service to assist in purchasing products that are difficult to buy abroad.?
SCLS Series: What distinguishes QuadX/ShippingCart from other logistics and?ecommerce solutions providers in the Philippines??
Raphael: Our focus is on making our services easy, convenient, seamless, and hassle-free. Traditionally, cross-border shipping involves hidden charges, difficult tracking, and expensive fees, causing user anxiety. ShippingCart eliminates these issues, providing a straightforward and user-friendly experience.?
SCLS Series: What are the key challenges in managing supply chain logistics in the?Philippines, and how has QuadX/ShippingCart addressed these?challenges??
Raphael: Customs clearing has always been a challenge, especially for individual customers, and cross-border shipping costs are generally high for one-off shipments. By leveraging our partner network and proven volume, we reduce freight fees and normalize costs, passing these economies of scale to our customers.?
SCLS Series: How do you balance cost reduction with maintaining high service quality in?your logistics operations??
Raphael: We invest in technology and data, switching from an off-the-shelf inventory solution to a custom-built one, reducing manpower costs by over 50% while improving service quality. We also work with reliable partners from end to end to maintain the highest service quality.?

SCLS Series: How do you ensure continuity of operations during unforeseen events, and?can you share an example of a successful risk mitigation strategy??
Raphael: We use multiple providers for critical processes to ensure backup and redundancy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were among the few shippers who secured inbound air cargo space due to our partnerships with both commercial and freight-only airlines. We proactively manage customer experiences by communicating delays or issues upfront.?

We anticipate the growth of cross-border networks to make shipping more cost-effective and improve overall coverage.
