Revolutionising TechEd: 3 Ways ChatGPT is Changing the Game
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way we do things, but the learning curve can be steep.?Having seen first-hand the incredible impact that AI have on TechEd, I'm excited to share my experience using some of the tools we use at Mission Ready that are easy to use and will help you to be more efficient.?This time I would like to share with you an AI chatbot called ChatGPT.? It was only launched a few months ago but it has gained popularity already.
ChatGPT is a chatbot developed by a research organisation called Open AI and backed by Microsoft. Traditionally, chatbots have typically been confined to a narrow range of knowledge and tasks.?But ChatGPT already pre-learnt from a wide range of contents.?It uses deep learning algorithms to generate human-like responses to text inputs. It means that you can "chat" with it like you would with a knowledgeable person.?This has proven to be a game changer because it is both easy to use as well as widely applicable.
In TechEd, ChatGPT can automate many routine tasks that educators and trainers face. For example, educators can use ChatGPT to create drafts of educational content, such as tutorials, videos, and articles. It helps to improve the quality and accessibility of TechEd resources, while freeing up time for educators to focus on more creative and engaging tasks.?For instance, I got ChatGPT to create the draft contents (including software code) for a presentation in just 2 minutes!

We also used ChatGPT as a virtual tutor.?Learners can ask questions and ChatGPT can be used to provide real-time answers to learners, help them to better understand complex concepts and improve their learning outcomes. This has both saved our trainers time from responding to individual learners, while still providing personalised answers to help learners to progress their learning more quickly.
Finally, ChatGPT can be used to improve the assessment process. We are still working on this, but educators can provide learners with quick and detailed feedback on their work, helping them to identify areas where they need to improve and allowing them to learn more effectively. This can help to reduce the workload of educators, who often spend hours going through assessment submissions and providing feedback.
AI will no doubt revolutionise the way we learn and teach.?This time I introduced one of the most powerful AI tool we use at Mission Ready. I will keep sharing more tips on how you can use ChatGPT effectively, the caveats, and other AI tools that makes our life easier.?
