Sunday Sustainable Fashion Pick

I finally got to visit the Charity Super.Mkt stores at Brent Cross this week, 18 months after my first visit to their first ever store at the centre in January 2023! This week I'm sharing some of my favourite picks from the Charity SuperMkt Presents store, where everything was ￡2!! I came away with what looked like a brand new workout top in a bright blue for ￡2.

There were so many bargains to be had, including a Reiss blouse, Levi's jeans, vintage dresses and brand new shoes! You can find my full reel over on instagram with all of my favourite picks. It was more of a 'traditional' charity shopping environment, rummage to find the gems. Upcycle Like A Princess

I loved Tiffanie Darke 's most recent substack where she discusses the topic of upcycling after lots of recent articles surrounding Kate's stylish upcycle of her Jenny Packham white dress.

It just goes to show that it doesn't have to be overly complicated to create a fresh new look for an event from your existing wardrobe. In this case, it was the simple addition of a bow, hat and brooch! Tiffanie also shares lots of other examples of how people have used seamstresses to transform items from charity shops or their own wardrobes for special occasions.

What could you challenge yourself to upcycle with some clever accessorising for your next event? I always see lots of beautiful brooches in my local charity shops, along with fascinators and belts etc! Tag me in any photos if you have a go!
