Revolution to Revelation

Revolution to Revelation

Feeling like this year is one of upheaval? Well, it is, as Pluto is in Aquarius.

As someone in the spiritual sciences, I haven’t been one to delve deeply into Astrology. Sure, I'll read my horoscope once in a blue moon, but I never really ventured into it until about August last year. Even then, my focus wasn't so much on Astrology, but rather on the divine feminine. I was intensely studying the moon, her phases, and the significant role she plays in the feminine cycle of life. But that's a topic for another post, at another time.

As I was diving deep into understanding the moon, something strange happened this year that made me look more closely at astrology. Clients I hadn't seen in years, who had come to me for Spiritual Business Coaching or even Executive Coaching a long time ago, started contacting me with their worlds turned upside down. Their souls starving for a shift that was happening! The first instance didn't strike me as significant, but when several others experienced similar upheavals all at once, I began to wonder, "What in the world is happening astrologically for so much radical change and shifting to occur to so many people?"

What was happening? It wasn’t the usual "I don’t know where I am going in my career" uncertainty. It was massive life changes, with some people feeling like they were reversing or completely flipping directions. Instances like major relationship breakdowns, career U-turns, or truly life-altering shifts.

Then, I discovered that Pluto was in Aquarius. "What does that even mean?" I hear you ask (just as I did at the time).

Pluto's transit through a zodiac sign, in this case, Aquarius, represents a significant astrological influence affecting society and individuals on a collective level. Pluto spends many years in each sign due to its slow orbit around the Sun. Its last transit through Aquarius occurred from 1777 to 1799. Pluto’s transition into Aquarius only happens every 248 years.[1]

This year, Pluto will find its footing in Aquarius' sky: from January 20, 2024, through September 1, 2024, it will briefly retrograde back into Capricorn to tie up loose ends, and re-enter Aquarius on November 19, 2024, where it will remain until March 8, 2043.[2]

So, what happens with these signs?

When Pluto is in Aquarius, it signifies a powerful and transformative influence on a global scale. Pluto, known as the planet of transformation, represents deep change, rebirth, and evolution. It demands tearing down old structures before rebuilding anew.

Pluto, as a sign in astrology, embodies profound transformation and regeneration. Representing the deepest layers of the subconscious, Pluto's influence delves into the realms of power, intensity, and renewal. Those born under Pluto's sway are often characterized by their resilience, determination, and ability to navigate life's most challenging circumstances with a sense of purpose and strength. They are drawn to uncovering hidden truths, exploring the mysteries of existence, and undergoing personal metamorphosis. However, Pluto's energy can also manifest as obsession, control, and upheaval, urging individuals to confront their inner demons and embrace the process of evolution with courage and authenticity. Pluto’s effects are subtle but far-reaching. It influences entire generations, shaping their values and beliefs. During this transit, we’ll witness a gradual transformation that impacts society for years to come.

Aquarius, the eleventh sign of the zodiac, is marked by its focus on the collective and its progressive and humanitarian spirit. Symbolized by the Water Bearer, Aquarians are known for their innovative thinking and unique perspective on the world. They are often ahead of their time, embracing change and pushing boundaries in search of a better tomorrow. Independent and fiercely individualistic, Aquarians value their freedom above all else, often marching to the beat of their own drum. They possess a natural curiosity and a deep-seated desire to understand the complexities of the universe, often exploring unconventional ideas and alternative viewpoints. Despite their sometimes-aloof demeanour, Aquarians are deeply compassionate and driven by a strong sense of justice, making them passionate advocates for social causes and champions of equality.

In summary, putting these together, Pluto in Aquarius heralds a time of profound shifts, both individually and collectively. It’s a call to embrace innovation, challenge the norm, and work toward a better future, experiencing many personal revelations. The American Revolution happened the last time Pluto was in Aquarius that is how profound the shifts may happen, not only culturally but also personally.

As for the specific implications of what this means for you with Pluto in Aquarius this year, it's essential to consider the broader astrological context and how it interacts with other planetary transits and alignments in your personal sign. Astrology is a complex and multifaceted practice, and interpretations can vary based on individual charts and circumstances. It can take decades to learn astrology, and I am only in the infant stages. Consulting with a professional astrologer, where your intuition leads you, can provide more personalised insights into how Pluto in Aquarius may influence your life or the world at large during this time.

My advice, tighten your seatbelts you are in for one heck of a life ride, and you may need a spiritual companion by your side as through this process of upheaval, we are challenged to confront our innermost truths and embark on a journey of self-discovery. As old systems crumble, we are given the opportunity to cultivate a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world, ultimately leading to personal revelations and collective evolution. Thus, from the chaos of revolution emerges the clarity and wisdom of revelation, guiding us towards a brighter and more enlightened future.

Until next time.
