Reviving Techfest's Days(?′?`?)

Techfest, IIT Bombay is like the ultimate playground for anyone who loves science and technology! Imagine this: over 1,75,000 people all buzzing with excitement, coming together from over 2500 colleges in India and 500 overseas. That's a crowd bigger than a stadium full of cheering fans!

At Techfest, we had the privilege of hosting Akash Ambani, along with three distinguished leaders of the Indian defense: Admiral Karambir Singh(former chief of Naval Staff), Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Bhadauria(former chief of Air staff), and General Manoj Mukund Naravane(Former chief of Army Staff) . Their insightful lectures, along with the presence of Shri S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO, added immense value to the event. It was an honor to learn from such influential figures who have played pivotal roles in shaping India's technology and defense sectors.

As an organizer in the 27th edition in 2023, I got to witness some seriously cool stuff. We had workshops on everything from ChatGPT (which is like having a chat with a super-smart computer!) to learning how to develop websites, and even diving into the world of AI with Google.

But wait, there's more! We hosted competitions with names that sound straight out of a sci-fi movie: Meshmerize, Cozmoclench, and Mechanzo-League. And get this: the prizes ranged from a cool 40,000 rupees to a jaw-dropping 4 lakhs!

But the real showstopper? The International Robowar. Picture this: 5000+ people watching robots battle it out, sparks flying, crowd cheering - it was like something from a movie!

And then there was the Auto-Expo. Fancy cars like Ferraris and Mercedes, along with super bikes, parading in a roadshow led by names like Ninja, Mufasa, and Simba. It was like a dream come true for any car enthusiast!

At the Defense Expo, touching the guns, sniper rifles, bombers, and tanks felt like stepping into an action movie. The sheer power and precision of these machines were awe-inspiring, giving a glimpse into the world of defense technology like never before.

At the Techfest international exhibition, an impressive array of tech marvels awaited visitors. From Sophia, a student-made robot, to a self-driving bike prototype, innovation was on full display. The DRDO showcased models of missiles and tanks, while attendees admired a robotic arm and an Eagle surveillance drone, among other cutting-edge creations. It was a testament to human ingenuity and the exciting future of technology.

And to top it all off, we ended the fest with a bang - a mind-blowing 360-degree EDM setup that had everyone dancing their hearts out.

Techfest 2023 was more than just a festival; it was an experience of a lifetime!
