Revit: Why should you learn it? Let's see what Google Trends says ...
Why should you learn Revit? I can explain many reasons why you should learn to use a BIM program. It does not matter if it is Revit, ArchiCAD, Allplan or others. A BIM you must learn. Choosing what is correct depends on many other factors. If someone tells you, depends on the use you are going to give, please do not take into account any "advice more" from someone who tells you such a barbarity. We talk about architecture, so choose what you want, you will end up doing architecture. The one that you master, will be the correct one. The point is that you must learn one, and thus start your way to master it.
Remember when you started with AutoCAD? It is not the same to start, to know. But at some point you will have to do it.
Now, although there are many reasons why I can recommend a particular program, and then choose what you choose, I only wish you the best so that you can master it as soon as possible, you should also know that not all BIMs are the same. In fact, there is a lot of CAD disguised as BIM, but that's another story.
What I want to show you now, is a real-time graph of the searches that are currently done in google with the terms BIM, Revit, ArchiCAD.
I am convinced that you will believe Google more than me. Also, if you look at the following graph, you are seeing it in real time.
This is the importance of the search terms from 2004 to date. Have you seen the graph?
In case you did not know in my online store you have online Revit courses to start right now. You just have to visit the links that appear at the top of this blog.
By the way, you can follow this link https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=bim%2C%20revit%2C%20ArchiCAD&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT-2 and add one more term ... try add some other program, and you'll see what happens ... for example, try adding "allplan". To say one, I'm sure you can think of another one. Ah, if you are tempted to write "AutoCAD" you will get a surprise, not only that logically today is lowering interest, but you will be surprised how high it is still. And it will also give you an idea of how far Revit will go. We bet ?.
