Revisiting the Start-up Journey: How I Would Approach Building Neftx Today

When I started NeftX, my goal was to create a simple clinic management system with the ability to establish a digital presence for branding. The challenges I faced were wide-ranging, from competitive analysis to building my own brand to sales and coding. I couldn't do everything on my own and found myself spending a lot of time on coding and sales. Juggling between these roles was no easy task. But today, we have developed a complete hospital management system and integrated AI in EHR. As I reflect on my journey, I can't help but wonder how things would have been different if I started today.

With the advent of AI tools like ChatGPT and others, the way I would have approached things would have been drastically different. Here's how:

1. Coding: Writing code was never an issue for me, but when it comes to building a system like a hospital management system, you need the best developers. Recently, I had the chance to work with Github Pilot and was impressed with its capabilities. This means that I could have done the same work with a smaller team.
2. Project Management: With a smaller team, there would have been a proper structure of project management in place. Now, I can simply write my PRD in one AI tool, paste the output in a few other tools to generate a complete task list. I can now manage everything using Trello.
3. Business Analyst: I would have rethought my approach to a business analyst. As an example, I can now generate a SWOT analysis very quickly. I don't see a reason why other aspects of BA can't be done quickly. I would still hire a BA but would have made them do things differently.
4. Digital Marketing/ Brand building: This is completely redundant, in my opinion. Writing used to take at least 1-2 days, and then I would have to give it to a content writer to get the final version. Now, I can simply explain to ChatGPT what my product is all about, think of a title, and generate the blog.

I believe that AI won't replace certain jobs, but it will reduce the number of jobs and make our ideas stronger. I also believe that AI is just a tool to get things done quickly. My aim in writing this blog post is to encourage all startup #founders to rethink their organization structure, hiring strategy, cut costs, and build more powerful ideas. The potential of AI in the startup world is immense, and it's time for us to take advantage of it. Feel free to share your thoughts.
