Revisions to HVACR Standards

Revisions to HVACR Standards

The HVACR industry is undergoing a transition to new-generation technologies, necessitating the revision of programs to address these advancements in heating and cooling systems.

To ensure that your HVACR students are properly trained to handle the installation, servicing, and maintenance of the next generation of HVACR technologies, instructors can follow these steps:

  1. Download the revised competency and task list, a FREE guide for preparing students with the basic knowledge and skills needed for employment in the HVACR industry. This free resource has been collaboratively revised with experts from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, a Department of Energy National Lab, as well as professionals from education and manufacturing.
  2. Select textbooks that have been cross-referenced with the competency and task list. Look for the HVAC Excellence logo on the cover, or correlations on the publisher’s website.?
  3. Validate your students' possess the retained knowledge necessary for success, by administering the Employment Ready Certifications.

If you or your instructional team have questions regarding the revised competency and task list or need to learn more about the next generation of HVACR technologies, contact our team toll free at 800 394-5268.

We will be addressing many of these technological changes during the National HVACR Education Conference, where you can get firsthand information from government leaders, manufacturers, and industry experts.
