Reviewing Bizzabo's Fresh Visual Identity and New Design Trends In The Corporate Sector.
Hey There! So, I was having a look at new brand identities on underconsideration.com and then I came across this eye-catching example of this fresh corporate rebranding for Bizzabo.
Little Introduction:
Bizzabo is an online operating system designed for event experience leaders to manage events, engage audiences, activate communities, and deliver powerful business outcomes. Bizzabo was founded by Boaz Katz, Alon Alroy, and Eran Ben-Shushan, and has more than 350 employees in its New York, Tel-Aviv, Kyiv, London, and Montreal offices, as well 15+ remote locations around the world. They recently gave their brand a new redesign that includes a logo and a new identity.
In this article, I wanted to explain how companies of today prefer their branding to be more attractive and keep the design approach very playful and friendly by reviewing Bizzabo's rebranding in 4 points.
Design By:
Friendly Logo-Types
Compared to the old logo, which seems very generic, tech-cliche, and gives off a serious feel, the new logo is more entertaining and engaging and its funky loops could be interpreted as the twists and turn that can happen at a live event of making new connections with people. It's simple yet effective. The gradient inside the circle on the old logo is unnecessary. The logomark having two z's locked up does not align well with the logotype which is a stock Bebas Neue. In the solution, The new logotype is a customized Rebond Grotesque that reflects the friendly and upbeat personality of Bizzabo as a brand.
This is now what design agencies are going for, many brands are utilizing a new modern sans-serif typeface that can be easily read, and at the same time, it also has some personality, and then customizing it takes it to the next level. Rebond Grotesque is no exception.
With that being implemented, the logotype gives room for more creative exploration and possibilities. I love it when a piece of design can be explored more, being a part of the same identity.

Bright Color Palettes
The new color palette is bright and fun. Now each color has a meaning associated with it compared to the old which does not have an origin story, now this is what I've seen a lot in the corporate design world. Companies want to tell a story through their branding, they want to make it more meaningful for their audience. Colors can play a huge role in that.
Personalized Illustrations
2D illustrations are a huge trend in these last 2 years and they are being used almost everywhere. on the websites, social media designs, UI, and animation purposes. etc There are dedicated design studios out there for this type of work and now these illustrations are being personalized to fit the brand's persona just like what Bizzabo's done here.
Minimal Yet Effective Application
Just look at this signboard, it's so simple yet it grabs attention through the power of color and hierarchy. It's effective. It gets the job done without cluttering it with unnecessary information, these are the new techniques for application branding. The same goes for the business card. ''Less is More!'' I say this to my clients all the time, haha!
In the conclusion
What I've observed is that more companies are adopting this friendly and playful nature in their branding, they want to attract their customers even more by adding the entertainment factor into that, and this trend is going to stay for a while. I am a fan of this kind of design language and being a designer, I love to integrate this language into my projects. There's a lot more than that I didn't cover, maybe next time. Have a nice day.
