Review on Leadership Wisdom by Robin Sharma's book
Hopefully one day i could visit Sharma Leadership Institute.
Once you read Sharma's then u will never want to stop! This is my second book from Robin Sharma, I became addicted on his writing and almost cant stop, within 24 hours i managed to complete four chapters equal to 48 pages. Another 8 chapters to go - total of 8 ritual for leadership wisdom.
I capture the wisdom words from these four chapters as "intelligence" inspirations ;
1) leaders need to have knowledge and courage
2) leaders need to have a willingness to "empty the cup" which means willing to learn new things, new skill
3) leaders need to be capable of visualize the success of the future
4) leaders need to be ready to get his people where they are to where they have never been
5) leaders need to create opportunities
6) leaders are not about managing others but developing others ..
above all, Julian, the lead character of this Book, who has been inspired from Yogi Raman, the sages of Sivana, emphasizes that leaders need to live in two places at same times : in present - in order to improvise the operation of the living life, in future - to create, shape and nurture tje blueprint of the future ..
8 chapters to go, 8 leadership rituals to be digested ...
Another wisdom ideas captured from the book ;
Risk taking is a very powerful success skill.Yet, most people never cultivated this important leadership discipline. Most of us never remove our security blankets and venture into the zone of unknown.
The farther you go out on the limb, the easier it is to fall. But then again, out on the limb is where all the fruits is.
Visionary leaders take chances.They constantly trying new things.It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.
