Chronicles of Mummyhood is a compilation of personal stories and lessons the author has learnt on her journey as a mother. Through this book, the author shares easy-to-apply lessons and hilarious experiences that every mother can relate to. Most importantly, this book inspires mothers to see themselves as generals and influencers that are responsible for raising the next generation of history makers and global leaders.
___________
This book is basically a collection of 50 short stories on parenting, with concise but important lessons at the end of each chapter. I believe it should be a book for both parents, not just mothers.
The chronicles and lessons cover a wide range of parenting issues – praying for your children even before they’re born, having a divine vision for your children, instilling the right values very early, developing the reading habit, taking care of yourself as a parent, how your marital relationship affects your children, etc. So many gems in this book.
The writing style also made it easy and interesting to read, for a non-fiction. The landscape print with big fonts also made it easy to read, and the pictures inserted at sections in the book made it colourful. The only drawback with the landscape, hardcopy print is that it’s not easy to carry around or read in bed.
