Reverse Wholesaling Explained

There are three major players in this model - the brand owner, the reseller and the distributor.

  • The brand owner is the person or company who came up with a unique product from scratch, that now brings in serious money day in and day out.
  • The reseller is the one who buys in bulk from the brand owner (at a discounted rate) and then takes the product and sells it one unit at a time to the customer.
  • The distributor makes sure the customer gets the product they purchased from the reseller.

The best distributor online is Amazon. It’s one of many things it’s the best at. The brand owner is any of the tens of thousands of brands whose products sell millions of dollars per year just on Amazon alone.

And YOU are the reseller.

Know this - most successful sellers on Amazon didn’t start from scratch on Amazon. Some started 20 or 30 years when Amazon was just a twinkle in Jeff Bezos’s eye. Most started through more traditional means, by using actual physical stores to build their brands.

And almost to a brand, none of them are set up to deal with the customer directly… especially on Amazon.

Amazon’s greatest strength is also its biggest weakness.

Pretty much anyone can sell any product on Amazon - even if it was previously owned and has a big stain on it.

If you can get your hand on a box of “Rasta love” smoke odour exterminator candles, you could easily list those candles for sale on Amazon, and if you priced the candles the exact same price as they already are on Amazon…

You would sell every one of those candles.

Here’s why - those “rasta love” candles sell over 8500 units per month on Amazon already. Those sales are shared by 4 different resellers. But it wouldn’t matter if it was 7 resellers or 27 resellers or 2 resellers. Point is, 8500+ of these candles get bought on Amazon every month.

If you can sell one, and you can sell it at $13.08 (to maximise your profit), you will sell each candle you put on there - whether it be just one candle or one thousand candles.

This is a real world product that, if you could become a reseller, would produce for you net profit of $3,392.99 per month in most months.

The exception is during October, November and December

where it would likely double in profit (hello holidays!).

The million dollar question then is this - how do you become a reseller? Even better, how do you become an authorised reseller, especially if you have zero experience with this model?

The world has changed. So has Amazon. So has commerce. And when change happens, most people refuse to change with it. Just human nature. They try to cling on to what they know, and they lose.

Most Brand owners don’t want to learn Amazon, don’t understand Amazon and don’t even like Amazon. So if you can make sure they are properly on Amazon, you should deservedly profit as a result.

Most resellers don’t want to adapt to how Amazon has changed over the last 5 years. They got in when the pie was small, but where you got your slice handed to you with no effort. So they sell products without ever updating the listings or taking advantage of all the new opportunities Amazon has handed over to resellers.

In short - they’re lazy and complacent.

And it will cost them when you come in, armed with this process and our special resources (offered as a free bonus) and crush it.
