Revelation 13:7 Part 3: War With the Saints and Eating of the Tree of Life

Today's Bible study focus is on this verse:

"Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

and to overcome them:

For context, Balaam truly heard from the Lord God, but king Balak, an enemy of the Israelites, paid him to curse Israel because Israel was too strong against his people. Balaam wasn't able to do so, because God had other plans!

"Numbers 22:11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out."

More context: "Numbers 22:6 Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed."

"Numbers 22:7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak."

Deeper study: Divination is another name for witchcraft, sorcery, and enchantments. What are "the rewards of divination"?

"Isaiah 1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them."

"Daniel 2:6 But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof."

"Hosea 2:12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them."

"Numbers 23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!"

"Deuteronomy 18:10-11 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer."

"Deuteronomy 18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do."

"2 Kings 17:17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger."

"Jeremiah 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart."

"Ezekiel 12:24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel."

"Ezekiel 21:21 For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver."

"Acts 16:16-17 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation."

In conclusion, Balaam is a representation of a modern day false prophets. Balaam truly heard from God, but was persuaded to go against God's will for material gifts and money. Although, God compelled Balaam to bless Israel, Balaam eventually devised a scheme that advised Balak to tell Balak's women to lead the Israelite men astray, and because of sin and active rebellion, God ended up punishing Israel for fornication and worship of Satan/false gods/idols.

Idolatry provoked God to jealousy/anger/judgment, and He ended up killing the idolaters/fornicators with a plague, and Balaam died in a war. The plague kept spreading until Moses and the priests judged (killed) the men according to God's will, and God then made a covenant for everlasting peace for their obedience.

A physical plague is of course sickness or disease that affects us physically and mentally. What this spiritually mean? Demon possession.

The Lord Jesus gives us prophetic clues here:

"Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."

"Exodus 10:15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt."

"Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."

"Psalms 104:14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;"

What does the service of man mean, and who is part of the land of Egypt?

"Ezekiel 29:18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:"

"Ezekiel 29:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army."

"Ezekiel 29:20 I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD."

"Ezekiel 29:21 In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."

The Book of Daniel gives several clues about the horn of the house of Israel (Satan and the Antichrist king) and his followers/employees/servants/soldiers (horns, unicorns, antichrists)

Satan is the king over all evil spirits and manifests as multiple Antichrist kings. Daniel, when the Jews were in Babylonian captivity, was a servant of the kings of Babylon.

"Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things."

"Daniel 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame."

"Daniel 8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes."

"Daniel 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land."

"Daniel 8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king."

Four kings (four beasts/kings/kingdoms) are mentioned in Daniel: Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Darius, son of Ahasuerus/Darius the Mede, Cyrus.

Nebuchadnezzar - Daniel 1:1, Daniel 2:1 => Revelation 1:1, Revelation 2:1

Belshazzar - Daniel 8:1 => Revelation 8:1

Darius: Daniel 9:1 => Revelation 9:1, Daniel 6 => Revelation 6, Daniel 11:1 => Revelation 11:1

Cyrus - Daniel 10: 1 => Revelation 10:1

Nebuchadrezzar seems like a misspelling of Nebuchadnezzar at first, but look deeper. He's God's servant for judgment., and God gives him dominion and authority over the rebellious/apostate part of Jesus's Church: Babylon, Mystery Babylon. Who is the Alpha and the Omega? Revelation 1:8 tells us who!

Nebuchadnezzar: The first letter is "N" which is also the Alpha letter and first letter of the Greek/Grecian alphabet

"Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;"

"Daniel 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory."

"Daniel 2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold."

"Daniel 2:47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret."

Nebuchadnezzar: The last letter is "r" which is also the Omega letter and last letter of the Greek/Grecian alphabet.

"Jeremiah 21:2 Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us."

"Jeremiah 43:10 And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them."

"Jeremiah 51:34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out."

Disobedient and Apostate Christians (Egypt) are mentioned in Jude.

"Jude 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not."

"Hebrews 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord."

Parallel: "Revelation 8:9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed."

Satan, other fallen angels, and demons/devils (antichrist spirits, beasts of the sea) possess these evil people (antichrist human vessels, beasts of the earth) to do wicked acts and deeds against God/Lord Jesus, His Church, innocent people yet to be saved, and His divine purpose and will. Some Christians will fall into apostasy and satanic mind control(hell fire), and some will prevail after trials, trouble, affliction, tribulation, persecution.

This also manifests as what we know as narcissistic rage/abuse, targeted violence, terrorism, and zersetzung type tactics, specifically against Christians, with the goal to sabotage faith in Jesus Christ, compel into forsake the everlasting Godly covenant (salvation), and manipulate into serving Satan.

Apostates:

"Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!"

"Luke 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils."

"2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage."

"2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning."

"Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them."

Tribulation saints:

"Genesis 49:19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last."

"John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

"Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

"1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

"Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful."
